Red face - Around and around in circles...stop this ride, I want off! Around and around in circles...stop this ride, I want off!

I posted as a newbie back in late Ferbruary/early March because I was having a recurring ovarian cyst removed on my remaining ovary. My GYN tried to talk me out of the surgery, but I knew from experience that the cyst had to be removed. I've also had issues with my bile/pancreatic duct and had a stint placed two weeks ago. I wound up in the ER this weekend because my specialist thought the stint was blocked. Imagine my surprise when the diagnosis was a 6cm cyst on my ovary. I knew I had a tiny cyst on that ovary that had come back, but it went from teeny tiny to humongous within two weeks.

My fabulous family doctor called me today at home and told me it is time to have my ovary removed. We've been discussing my options for a while, and because of blood clot factors, I can not take hormones. I am going to be 29 in September. I now have to find a surgeon willing to operate on me, which is hard because of my clotting factor and medical history. I already had an appointment with a new surgeon, and I got in to his office at the end of the week.

I just want this ride to be over with. I am so tired of the pain and not knowing when I will feel good or bad. I'm missing out on so much because of these cysts.

I've heard good things about HysterSisters, and I am hoping that I can get good advice about going into menopause cold turkey... I may need to buy another air conditioning unit for my bedroom.

Hi M in Chicago!

I'm sorry to hear about your ovary problems, and I hope you find a remedy soon.

Our Surgical Menopause Resources Page contains many links to websites and articles which might be helpful to you. My favorite website about surgical menopause is "Survivor's Guide to Surgical Menopause" which you will see on the menu.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

Many s and Best Wishes,
