Lactating, Is that possible?

Well, I know easy was never in anyones threads. I had my surgery last Thursday and just got to come home last night. I had the FULL job done, and I think every test the hopitasl could admin done. I am LACATATING! Yes full milk! They tested that too. I am totally engoraged, leaking and misarable up top too. After I breast fed both of my children I drank sage tea to stop and it worked. Since I have had other troubles, this I did not take into consideration, Pain is my first thing I want to rid in my body. I have so much of that and now I think my Dr has found the right dose to help me today. But the milk is driving me CRAZY!!! I need a hug, but not hard, I might get you wet!
Thank you hytersisters for your support and my tummy pillow has been great!

Lactating, Is that possible?

I am assuming that you had a complete hyst and BSO (both ovaries removed)? Are you on HRT? Has your dr tested your hormone levels?

My mom kept her ovaries, as I did, when she had her hyst several years ago. Because of her menopause symptoms due to her ovaries going into shock, her GYN put her on HRT for a time. When her own ovaries kicked back in, she produced milk.

So I wonder if your hormones are a bit out of balance and need some adjustment. Did you talk to your dr about your hormones along with your pain?

I know I am very symptomatic from estrogen so at certain times of my cycle my breasts swell and hurt terribly.

Many best wishes to you! You might try a cold or warm compress for comfort.
