Need help! School starting!

I have extreme vaginal pain if I'm sitting for very long in anything but my LazyBoy, and it causes pain that lasts for days if I sit on a hard chair for very long. I think my cuff must not be completely and truly healed yet? Anyway...

School starts Monday and my classes are 2-3 hours long and on Tuesdays I have a couple classes in a row. I'm so worried about how to handle this. I know I can't sit for 3 hours yet. I'm running through possible options in my mind, for example...

Bringing a big pillow to sit on, sit near the back of the class so I can stand if I need to, or try to let my teachers know in advance that I might have this problem. It's embarassing because even though two of my professors (the ones with the longest classes) are very, very aware that I have health issues, I'm going to feel extremely weird dragging a pillow around with me. It would also be weird trying to explain to my professors that I need these concessions because of vaginal pain. OMG! Of course I can't tell them that!

Any suggestions would be VERY greatly appreciated.

Thanks Sisters!

Tell them you fell and hurt your tailbone, hit a nasty pothole on your bike, or something like that. Then get one of those tailbone relief-type pillows (some have handles). If anyone has the gall to ask, you can tell them the hard chairs make your butt fall asleep!

Can you request to speak, in private, to your instructors before classes start? As embarrasing as it will be, it will probably be better to just tell them the truth. You don't have to tell them you are having vaginal pain. Just tell them you had a hysterectomy and it takes several months to fully heal. You will show them you are serious about school and want to take steps to assure you can be in their class as much as you can be.
