Curious Pain?

Hi ladies,

I had a cold-knife cone back in May to treat HSIL and the results also reavealed that they had completely removed an unexpected adenocarcinoma in situ.

I was slow to heal and had quite a bit of pelvic cramping and bleeding in the weeks following surgery. I go in for my first follow-up ecc on Monday and I suppose I could wait to ask my doctor about this, but I just CAN'T because it's been troubling me:

I've been having some stomach/digestive problems for well over a month...it's gradually getting worse. This is abnormal for me and I haven't made any changes to my diet or habits. I also have been experiencing some severe leg pain, especially at the top of my thighs where the pain is sharp. I've increased my stretching, but there's no relief. I also feel like I've been experiencing sharp and dull pain in my ovaries for months.

I was reluctant to write or inquire about this because I sometimes think it may be in my head(?) The thing is, the pain is definitely there. But maybe I'm making myself sick with worry? I can understand how stress might aggrevate my stomach, but what is this leg pain all about?? I've thought that it could be my muscles- also affected by stress, but it doesn't feel like is IS my muscles.

Any ideas? Any similar experiences? Should I worry? I've been doing my best to relax in these past few months, but this pain has been making it difficult for me.

Thank you in advance,

Curious Pain?

s Bean,

I dont have an answer for you, but I didnt' want you to think you are all alone out there! Hopefully, it's nothing, but I"m glad you are going to the doctor next week. Even if it is all in your head, It's not JUST all in your head. You have to look at the big picture. If something's bothering you, it's affecting you and it needs to be addressed.

I know what you mean...how you feel, though..because I tend to think that the not-knowing makes things 500 gazillion times worse. And of course, you start thinking the worse when really maybe it's just a series of sore muscles or something else easily remedied.

Hopefully, it IS all in your head (if you know what I mean!) I hope the doctor has some answers for you and that it turns out to be no big deal. Let us know what happens.
in there
xoxo

Curious Pain?

I was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer. Some of my symptoms included chronic pelvic pain radiating into my legs. Sometimes, it hurts quite a bit for me to walk. My doctors prior to my current gyn always said this was nothing to worry about and just attributed it to me getting older. (I'll be turning 40 on Sunday...I don't think that's old!)

But, please, just because this is something I have, it doesn't mean that you have cervical cancer. Please talk to your doctor and try not to worry about it. (I do know that's easier said than done!)

Yeah it is hard to not worry about things but this site ha really helped me alot with what I am going through. Your stomach problems might be IBS syndrome which was what I was told I had but that specialist didnt look at where most my pain was I take Activia for stomach problems its worth a shot it might relieve that part of the problem. As for the leg part of it im not sure I dotn even know whats wrong with me i have severe pelvic pain and wont know till i get my LAP done September 19th Hopefully we both /all on here needing answers can get them soon. You are in my prayers as is everyone on here Like i said before the support on this site is great Take care hopeto hear from you soon

Curious Pain?

Thank you, ladies, for your responses and support! This site has been so informative and helpful. I haven't posted much, but I've definitely been reading a ton

I can't tell you how eager I am to meet with my new doctor on Monday; I have so many questions and concerns...and I'm also anxious to finally have more biopsies done now that I'm "healed" from my conization.

I've been reminded of how I deal with stress through all of this - I don't. haha! I like to hold everything in and pretend that all is well. My family and friends can't say enough about how well I'm dealing with this stuff...if they only knew! I just made an appointment to meet with a therapist; oddly, I think it will be easiest for me to talk with a stranger about all of this...I just need to get it out.

Anyway, thanks again! And please say a prayer that my ecc comes back with no signs of more AIS!!
