Pre-Op Completed today

Hi all,

Well, had my pre-op today and all is set for my surgery 2 weeks tomorrow. I am slated to be in the hospital for 3 nights. With 3 boys between 4-10 I'm not going to be in a giant rush to get home. Don't get me wrong, I know I'll want to come home, but I'm not going to try to get out early or anything like that. I guess I'm strange, I actually don't detest the hospital like most do. Probably because dh brings me real food once I'm able to eat

I can't believe how all-consuming this is. I went out to lunch with a friend today and can't remember talking about anything else.

I relate with some of the other messages saying how everything else is on the back burner. When I have time to clean the house (which isn't often), I'd much rather sleep. Then it gets to night time and I can't sleep because my brain goes 89 different directions.

I guess I will look forward to the surgery and then wait for pathology after that. Everything seems to be all about dates lately.

Pre-Op Completed today

I can sure relate to the all-consuming part of this - like there's nothing else going on in life!
I can't sleep either -- just can't seem to shut down completely.
Couldn't have said it better!!
