Still have bad granulation tissue... Help please!!!!!!!!!!

I am 4 months post-op and still have tons of granulation tissue. I have been going to my dr every 3 weeks for silver nitrate treatment. It is getting to be more painful every time he does it - burns after I pee or have intercourse with my dh. I also bleed for up to 4 days after.

I have had 5 treatments already and am getting really frustrated.........

Anyone else had this problem or any advice........ HELP please.

Still have bad granulation tissue????!!!!

I had a lot of granulation tissue, too. My doctor tried treating it with silver nitrate but when I came back for a followup exam, he said it was more than silver nitrate alone could handle. I ended up having it removed during an in-office surgical procedure. The tissue was sent to pathology and, as suspected, it was nothing more than granulation tissue. It took several more treatments of silver nitrate after that before I was finally healed and rid of it for good.

If you want to learn more about granulation and how it is treated you can read this article called Vaginal Cuff Granulation – Silver Nitrate – Cauterization . I know how discouraging it is to deal with granulation. It sure makes the recovery drag on and on. I really hope yours will be gone soon.

Still have bad granulation tissue????!!!!

I am 7 weeks post op. On Monday I went in for my check up, and the doctor said I had granulation and also my vagina was stuck together. She pulled it apart and scraped it, and I have to put in esostrogen cream for a week - no silver nitrate. It hurt so much I thought I was going to faint, and I still feel pretty yuck. I didn't know that this could go on and on!!
