Finally up and about

Hi fellow princesses; Well I am 2 weeks post op this is my first entry because I have had a rough 2 weeks. I was in the castle for 6 days, and I did not expect that amount of pain!! I had to be re-catheterized twice because I could not pee on my own. I was vomitting so much that I tore my stitches and was bleeding. I needed several dressing changes. I was totally miserable!
When I got home I still had trouble with peeing, and the Dr. gave me some medication for bladder spasms and Tylenol #3 but I did not get any pain relief. I had to get up every 1/2 hour to hour to try and pee all day and night, so I wasn't getting enough rest and my pain increased as well. Unfortunately I was also having trouble with eating and I continued to vomit, so that also caused my pain to increase.
All in all yesterday and today are the first days that I can be off my couch more than just stumbling to the bathroom. So I thought I would quickly write in, to say it has been rougher than I thought it would be, but I am surviving.
I think I thought that I would feel better than I do, but when the Dr. "got inside" he decided more had to be done, he "cleaned up" as much endometriosis as he could, he took out 6 fibroids, he did the total abdominal hyster, and he had to take out one ovary after all, he also had to "free" my bladder and bowel from where they were stuck to the pelvic wall with adhesions. So I suppose that is why I am so uncomfortable, but it is upsetting. I am sorry but I can not agree with all the messages I read stating that "waiting for the surgery is the hardest part" sorry but that is not true for me! But I am keeping the faith that it will all be worth it in the end

I hope all my sister princesses are doing better than I am, having a BM is a major event even though I am taking stool softeners and the stool is soft, it doesn't matter, coughing and vomitting is enough to make me sweat and shake for a 1/2 hour or so. I hope it ends soon!
I will write later when I am feeling stronger.
