9 mths post-op and having cramping again

Hello sisters! I am 9 months post-op. At about my 6 month post-op mark, I was feeling great! Recently I have noticed that annoying, continuous cramping that I had prior to my surgery. One reason for my surgery was that I had endo and I was able to keep both overies. I had heard that endo could develop in my overies, should I be concerned?

HI Deana - sorry you're not feeling well. My surgery was jan. 10th and I haven't had any cramping since FEb. or March. You should probably call your doctor. HUGS

I am sorry that you are experiencing cramps. I do suggest you make an appointment to talk to your dr about how you are feeling. Keep a journal or use ReliefInsite’s online pain diary to keep track of all of your symptoms.

By having your ovaries, you could be noticing ovulation. And by having endo, you could be experiencing endo related pain. At times my entire pelvic region is achey, sore, and/or painful.

Talk to your dr and ask what options are available for you. It will depend on what your dr decides your pain is from.

9 mths post-op and having cramping again

I am so sorry you are having cramping. I too had severe endo and am very glad to be rid of my ovaries. Besides, there were cysts and the like both on and inside of both. Additionally, both ovaries were covered with (more than 50%) of scar tissue. When I did have my ovaries, I was happy that my Doc could conduct an intravaginal ultra sound. It was one quick way to see what was going on. But, it did not detect all that was apparent once they truly got inside. Another idea is that you could be experiencing pelvic floor issues... Either way, you and your Doc will get to the bottom of it all. Take Care of You

9 mths post-op and having cramping again

I am only 8 weeks this week and I hear you. I had severe cramping around menstral time, and found that I too had endo and had a partial and kept the ovaries too. I am now after only 8 weeks experienceing pain. Called the doc yesterday and he said that it was probably to do with ovulation. I never had that pain before. So now it feels like What the heck did I have the hyster for if I can't get rid of the pain?
Have you gone to see your doctor yet? I would really be interested in hearing what he said to you. Please keep me posted.

9 mths post-op and having cramping again

I had PMS symptoms up to around 6 months post-op, which my doctor said was normal. I don't have PMS symptoms anymore, now I have the same cramping that I had prior to my hyst., which occurs everyday and I'm worried that maybe it's endo. I'm going to give it a couple weeks and if it doesn't go away, I'm going to call the dr.
I will keep you posted!
Take Care~ Deana

9 mths post-op and having cramping again

Wow...everyday. I thought endo is only when you have your monthly cycle, but to have it all the time is strange for endo isn't it? I know that for me it's only been 8 weekks and it's my ovulation time so he thinks the cramping is fue to that. Makes me wonder if I should have had a whole hysterectomy instead of a partial...It's crazy to trade one pain for another. Yeas please keep me posted on what you find out...

9 mths post-op and having cramping again

Hi sorry you arent feeling well again especially 9 months down the line. I had LAVH and my consultant couldnt decide whether to leave my ovaries or not (I had severe endo, heavy painful periods, bleeding on intercourse.. etc etc) but when he talked to me the day before my op he explained because of the extensive endo I had he might take both ovaries to avoid me having to return to theatre to have them removed a year down the line. I awoke from my anaesthetic and was told he had removed them as the risk of keeping them was not worth it (I am 31). Seek the advice of your doctor/consultant again I do hope it works out for you and that you dont have to go in again.
