Dear Daisy, At 6 days you still early in your recovery. I had good and bad days the first 3 weeks some days I was fine and others were not so great. Some days I needed a nap and other days I was fine. It is a slow process and lots of internal healing is going on. I hope you are feeling better soon. Diane

Ditto for me Daisy . . .

I am 5 day post op and I felt great yesterday and not so great today. I think, like you, that I did too much sitting and walking around and not enough lying down.

Our sugeries were only a few days ago (although it seems like a month already!) -- so I guess we have to take it a little slower. I started reading a good book and that has helped to keep me lying down with my feet up.

Take care --

1 year ago on memorial day was day 4 for me. We had a church gathering that I went to. Before going there We went to Walmart. All this was too much. I was exhausted. Please remember to get more rest than you think you need. It is hard to catch up.

Please remember that sitting is an activity! And this early in the recovery it is a very rough one.

You will also notice as you progress that you will have up and down times. Please be very careful on the up times. You can really over do on these days. Give yourself the full 6 week period to rest and pamper yourself. You WILL be glad you did!

Blessings

Daisy,

My TAH/BSO was done on May 3rd. The first week I thought to myself why oh why did I have this done?
The second week I was feeling somewhat better and thought ok I'm going to make it but I took the advise of all the sisters on here and ALLOWED myself to REST.......no matter how anxious or bored I was feeling.
It is now 17 days.......I am doing more but not over-exerting myself - will have plenty of time for that later on! The healing process cannot be rushed much as we want it to.

It is hard to believe that I am here so soon giving words of encouragement to someone I wish you the best in your recovery - it will happen.

to you Daisy and all the sisters

Jude
