I wore jeans today1
I actually wore my pre-op jeans for the first time today. It was nice. They actually zipped easier than before surgery. I didn't wear them long, my skin still feels tender and on fire sometimes. But I actually looked normal when I went out to lunch with DH. Oh AND I wore my little wedge sandals. I felt like a lady and not a frump. I am exhausted and need a nap, but I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel beginning to flicker in the distance.

CONGRATULATIONS... Yes you deserve applause. It's great to have a taste of normal again!!
No zippers for me yet... I had to switch to elastic waists so long ago... years before I finally decided it was time (past due!) for surgery.
I'm happy for you... Now get some rest!!

Good for you. I tried on a few pre-op size skirts and pants the other day, and it was definately not a good thing. In time, I suppose. I have a major frump going on wearing sweatpants and pj's all the time. You've given me hope that will go away soon.

I look in my closet and see all the clothes I haven't worn in so long because of the stupid fibroids. I hope to be in more of them soon!

My tummy is on fire still too . When I look at it, I expect to see all this red skin, but it feels worse thanit looks! Good for you to get into the jeans, even for just a little bit . It's no fun walking around in big elastic pants and flats all the time! I have a comfy velour jogging suit I've been wearing out to casual dinner spots . I still have a hard time leaning forward to eat my food ! tiny baby steps.....

I lost 15 pounds right after surgery and have managed to keep it off (Yippee), however, when I put my jeans on they are still a bit snug. I cannot wait to start wearing them more often.
Congratulations on all of you in your pre-surgery pants
