They changed my date AGAIN!!

I'm so frustrated! My surgery was originally scheduled for October 13th- last week the nurse called and moved it up to October 11th- OK, sounds good to me...now today she called to reschedule to the 18th.
And to top it off- pushing it out a week means Aunt Flo will be visiting again, I thought I just had my last one ever!

Vent away - you have every good reason to.
Did they tell you WHY they have to change the date?

One of the Dr.s that will be assisting my doc is not available until the 18th. The procedure that I'm having is new to my area (robotic laparoscopy)- so I guess I should be happy that they want only the most experienced doctors taking care of me...Oh well- it could be alot worse- I just need to get myself psyched up again

Hey some of the girls on this site just finished watching that live (I could not watch it - I would have had to run to get sick - big ol wussy I am).
Indeed you are having cutting edge surgery. Guess one of the payoffs is the date changing.
Even still, I understand your frustration.
Try to keep yourself busy somehow.
Make lists of everything , what you need to pack, what you need to do in the house, what you need to do outside, what you need to do at work, what you need to cook, what you need to shop for and buy and then start fulfilling the lists by doing a little here and there. Before you know it, the day will come.
Oh, and spend lots of time here asking questions and if you don't have any, answering questions.... that should help pass the time a wee bit.
Again, sorry to hear about your frustration,,, I too would be grumbly.

I wished that I had my hyster done using the robot. I found out about this after I had my abdominal hyster, on our local news. You are lucky that it is available in your area. I understand that there is a shorter recovery with this and less possibility of adhesions. Make sure that your doc has done this several times and has taken a course in using the robot.
