Went to pre-op...asked my Dr. a few questions...

besides the fact that it was a whopping 10 min pre-op with him...which I had to pay $30.00 co-pay!!! Iasked about sending my "parts" over to the pathologist...and he said yes...that's just what they do...I will find out as soon as they do. I asked about "ovaries dying in 3-5 years" and he told me "no" and that I would go thru a mini menopause and most likely have hot flashes, but obviously no bleeding. And I did ask about going to the wedding 5 days later...he gave me the green light! He said that I would probably be very tired and have to sit alot and wear a pad...and if I drank to be careful because of the pain meds!! Gotta love my DR!!!!!!!!!!

Great to hear your preop was good.
....so if you keep your overies, you go through mini menopause when the time comes? Do I understand that right?

I guess...I need to obviously ask more questions on surgery day! He said that he will be in there early so that if I have additional questions he can get them cleared up! his pre-op was all about blood pressure...and breathing...then mostly to answer any questions I might have. I feel very comfortable with him...it doesn't hurt that he is good looking J/K! But he is!! I also can't have anything after midnight the night before surgery...but I will cut back the days before so as to not worry about BM's...I would rather just have things go smoothly...no pun intended!
