scar tissue after tvh

hi all.

i had my tvh & bladder suspension 3 1/2 weeks ago and am feeling really well. I don't have pain but notice a "heaviness" where my incision is and i guess you could say it is like a bump down there.

i did see my dr this past week & she said it was fine, normal, healing tissue. Did anyone else have that ? It is hard to believe that it is going to go down.
just wondering how long it takes to be kinda "normal" again (whatever that is ??)

Hi Jenny, I am from NH too. Southeastern part. You will feel normal again. I would have to say at week 5 all of a sudden I woke up one day and was back to normal. For the first 4 weeks or so I never thought I would ever feel like me again. Slowly but surely everything went back to normal. The only thing I can say I still have a problem with is NO energy. I want to sleep alot during the day. I can't stop yawning. It is awful. I hope this goes away soon.

Take care.

Cheryl

Hi Jenny

I also have a lumpy ridge under the skin where my incision is and I am told that it is perfectly normal and will go down in time. Like you, I was a bit worried about it at first.
