Clothes????

So I'm reading on here about some of you putting on jeans etc and decided that today I would put on real pants for at least part of the day. I figured things would fit decent, considering the alien in my abdomen is now gone and I'm down around 10 lbs. since pre-op.

WRONG!!! My swelly belly is apparently more swelly than I thought. Most of my pants are low rise. I can button them, but it's definitely not comfortable.

Now I'm feeling like a fat pig! Am I the only one who can't get her pants on? I was so looking forward to things fitting and not feeling like I look pregnant.

Clothes????

I am 2 months post op and still can't wear jeans. They are too uncomfortable against my incision. It is still quite sensitive. I hope that goes away soon................

Clothes????

I have the same problem. My Dr said the swelling will last 3-4 months at least. I can only wear jeans for a few hours. Luckily I work in a medical office. I usually just wear my scrubs. I had hoped I'd look better after the surgery but I guess I'll have to wait.

Clothes????

Well I guess the saying that misery loves company is true because I feel a bit better hearing that I'm not the only one!

Oh well! Maybe next week....

Clothes????

I am not even going to try for about 2 more weeks and I am down about 22 Lbs. Give yourself some more time and you will be able to get in to your clothes.

Clothes????

I thought that too, but I was in for a rude reality check. So, every now and then I'll try on something that's "pre-surgery" to see how much progress I'm making, and instead of having hurt feelings when it doesn't fit like it should I just repeat to myself "6 to 12 months".

Clothes????

I had a tt w mr at the same time. I am down 20 lbs (just about) in 4.5 wks after surgery. I can barely pull my jeans over my hips (and binder) and fastening them is out of the question! I am wondering if even though I KNOW I am WAY skinnier now...will I ever wear anything other than drawstring sweats? LOL

Clothes????

You will fit into your pants I promise. I started to wear mine comfortably at about 7 weeks. Give yourself time, you will look great in your jeans soon enough.
