Post-Op Good News, Bad News. Need a Virtual Hug.

Got my pathology. Good news, no cancer in my reproductive organs. Bad news, I had - of al things - appendix cancer. Now go figure.

So, after my cancerous thyroid is removed next month, I'm back to see whether I'll need additional surgery for any possible spread.

Okay, I'm good at being positive, but I'm starting to get a wee bit tired of this. I would like it to be 2007, and I'm posting the Title "All Done!"

Sorry to whine, but egads, when do I get to look back on this and laugh?

Hi Shaden3,

I am so sorry they found appendix cancer, and that your thyroid is cancerous too. I can see how it would be hard to remain positive. I just feel so bad for you and wish I could just snap a finger and make it all go away for you. Unfortunately, we can't do that, but I can offer you up in prayer and ask God to give you healing, comfort and peace.

I know it's is going to be a hard road for you, but you CAN and WILL beat this!!!! Try to keep putting your energy into positive thinking the best you can. Also know that God is with you and holding your hand, as are your Sisters here and this Sister.

Are you having any other treatments now?

I am here if you need to talk or just a shoulder to cry on. Hang in there......keep positive and try to think of happy thoughts..reflect on things that have made you happy to help take things for a moment off your mind.

Extra hugs

Shaden~
's to you honey!!! I actually went to the dr. w/ a good friend of mine today that has thyroid cancer. She had her thyroid out last November and had her first dye treatment shortly after and her blood work was off a couple months ago and she found another lump, so we went to get blood work done today to see if her thyroid levels were where they needed them. Tomorrow she goes to take a pill, and then Thursday and Friday she has body scans!! I feel for you because I know what Michelle has been going thru and I will lift you up in prayer right along w/ her. God can heal you both of this rotten disease and I'm just going to believe that He will do it!!!!

My theory: although you didn't know it at the time, your hysterectomy was a gift that allowed you to find the bad appendix.

Lots of hugs and positive thoughts!

Honey, come here and say whatever you're feeling... You have been through so much and have a very positive attitude. You're right, you will laugh about this someday. I like your positive visualization and your 2007 thread title, BTW. Sending you lots of positive thoughts and prayers...and

Take care and let us know how you're doing, okay?

Deb
