Valentina, ZoeEllen and Breezyb, where are you ?

{{{Brenda}}}

So glad to hear from you. Good luck today with your internal radiation. It sounds like you're really having a go-around with your side effects, so I will pray that the internal does not make them any worse. WooHoo about the hair--hooray! Just hang on a little longer. You're almost there. Best wishes.

(((Brenda)))))
Gosh you are having a time of it. I always thought radiation didn't carry many side effects, but I am sure finding out differently from you girls now.

But you are almost there, and your attitude sounds good Brenda. Hang in there hon, 2 weeks is not that long although I know it drags on when you are going through this.

We are always here for you, remember that.
Love and Hugs,
M. xo

Hi Brenda,
I was having a very difficult time with the radiation. I felt I was on fire. I also had blood, doc thought probably from hemorroids aggravated by the radiation. Are you having internal and external at the same time. Or are you all done with the external. I also am having internal, but with a hospital stay. I hope you feel better. Good Luck!!!!!

Valentina, ZoeEllen and Breezyb, where are you ?

Brenda and Valentina,

I also haven't been around much lately. I have been battling very painful and bloody bowel movements. When I finished my external treatments last Friday, I thought I was going to die from the bm's. I kept thinking that it would get better with each day but yesterday I had to see a proctologist. And he told me that I had a severe anal fissure. He would have recommended surgery but because I have three internal treatments through out June he wouldn't do it. He said that the radiation affects the healing from the fissure surgery. So I'm am going to have to live with this the next month. Yikes!!!! Just maybe....fingers crossed...prayers being said....the fissure will heal on it's own. So Brenda pay particular care to the problems you are having now to keep it from getting worse. What is your doctor telling you to do?

Miss talking to you Valentina...I'm praying for an uneventful internal for you. I think I'd rather do the one stay in the hospital than the three treatments. Plus my favorite female radiation technician is gone now. Just the boys left. Oh well, I don't guess it's anything they haven't seen.

Brenda, Valentina, Zoe and Robyn!

I'm so sorry that you are having difficulty. Being the strong women that you are, though, I know you will find a way to make it through and come out stronger on the other side. Please know that I am doubling my prayer efforts for you. It's almost over! May you all find comfort, health, happiness and peace within the arms of our Lord.

Valentina, ZoeEllen and Breezyb, where are you ?

Did any of my radiaitons sisters have painful urination, I mean REALLY REALLY PAINFUL. My vagina (lips) felt swollen as well. Actually the whole area felt sore and swollen, where I would have trouble walking, sitting...etc, after almost two weeks, I feel somewhat better, but no where near 100%. Then of course there is this interna, can't wait to see what that has to offer.
Love to you all.....

Valentina, ZoeEllen and Breezyb, where are you ?

Hi VAlentina, the whole of the outside of my vagina is swollen.
My Dr. has given me some cream for it called "intrasite gel" not sure if you can get it over there. I havent had the painful urination as yet, but I did have some burning on the weekend and drank gallons of water and so far so good. My Dr. told me to get a product called URAL which makes the urine less acidic. I think someone else had the burning and ws taking something called pyridine (?). Hope it gets better soon. This is the pits. Love you always x x

Hello to the radiation sisters,

I did have the burning and itching but not to the degree that Valentina or Robyn have. My doctor gave me phenazopyridine, which is suppose to only take the pain away. It is not an antibodic, which you don't want cause it will cause problems for your bowels.

I know none of this is funny but I had a vision of all of us in a hospital room in our beds and the words..."I see your burning and itching vagina and raise you a bleeding and spastic rectum...oh yeah....I'll see your bleeding and spastic rectum and raise you a dialator." As you can tell I've spent way to much time soaking in the tub and really must get some more books to read.

On a more serious note...this is a scarey time as we move to the internal phase of our treatment. I'm glad we have each other. After all who in there right mind would want to hear as much detail as we want to share? You girls are the best!
