Hair loss and growth anyone?

My hair is oily and falling out. My hair stylist said it is from the anesthesia the falling out thing. The oil is hormones zero body. The rest of my body hair has slowed down actually.

Hair loss and growth anyone?

My scalp hair is dry as tumbleweed and not growing - can tell from the grey.
My eye brows seem to need to be plucked less than before. I think the rest is pretty much the same - too bad cause it would be nice for the legs to slow down or even halt...

Hair loss and growth anyone?

Well I feel very lucky, hair on my head thickened up and is now nice and normal whereas before it was always like straw. Best thing of all the terrible acne I was suffering from ( huge boils on my neck) has vanished since the day I went into hospital!! Fingers crossed it doesnt return but just goes to show how much hormones affect us!

My hair is growing like crazy I get asked about it often, what are you doing to your hair and my answer is nothing. My nails are just as strong and long as ever. I have friends and a sister that loss hair after surgery, the effect of anesthesia is different to everyone.

Hair loss and growth anyone?

I am 3 months post op & my hair, since right after the surgery, is just coming out in clumps. It is real dry & frizzy. I have long, thick natural curly hair, & it is starting to look dried out & thin. I am so depressed from it. I went to my Dr & had blood work to check FSH levels. I'm still waiting for results. I really hope he can offer me some help. I am really disgusted. I am taking all kinds of vitamins, I only eat an organic diet, exercise everyday..... nothing helps. I still have my ovaries, I can only guess that maybe they aren't functioning.

Someone mentioned the acne thing. I have also noticed that mine has dramatically cleared. I have always had problems since the day I ever started my periods. I look in the mirror now and I am so happy. Still having some around my neck and chin area but for the most part, it is good. My hair is also very oily. I know that anesthesia can wreek havock on your body and your hair being the main one. I am hoping that it will all soon clear up. I want to go have a perm since I have no body at all but am a little concerned that it won't take right now. I am thinking of waiting until Dec.

Ciana - I still have my ovaries too, and my fsh levels are reasonable. It could just be a more than normal fluxuation of hormones? Also, I didn't have general anesthesia - but I did have whatever they pump in you for a spinal, plus the pain killers etc. I'm sure that any unexpected chemicals like that have an affect and stay in your body for a long time. I'm with you - I eat clean, exercise and everything and still ...
