Bladder difficulties

I am 12 days post op from having my right ovary and cyst removed - cyst was attached to bowel, ureter tube and basically my side. I had a regular incision.

I have not noticed any bladder issues until today. I am feeling discomfort at the end of emptying my bladder. I also can't seem to get my bladder emptied - which just began a few hours ago. I have been trying to go to sleep, but have to keep getting up due to the urge to pee.

The discomfort is not as bad as it was after my TAH. That pain was also immediately noticed. Not almost two weeks later.

The urge to urinate almost feels like a bladder infection, but not quite. I have had a lot of those.

Do I just take uristat? The over the counter pyridium. I don't feel it's urgent enough to call my dr. tonight about, but I can't sleep.

Any advice?

Bladder difficulties

After a completely sleepless night and now home from a trip to the dr. I know now I have a bladder infection. Weirdest one I have ever had. The spasms are horrible. I hope the antibiotic kicks in soon.

It is so hard having to stay in the ovaries only section when I know if I could have posted this in the post op section women would have been able to have helped me before all this agony.

(((CeCe))) I'm sorry you're dealing with a bladder infection. I do know how painful they can be. I hope the antibotics kick in quickly and you will feel better soon.
