As far as I know, If you have the cervix removed you get a cuff - apparently it has never healed probably due to compromised tissue from the previous 6 surgeries. There isn't much of an issue if I never wanted to have sex for the rest of my life (still would need repair but not urgent). Horror stories (not mine) about the bowel coming through naseum. I simply have a "divet" and an unhealed area. Hoping, praying that it can be repaired without an abdominal cut but..... whatever. I have total confidence in my surgeon. He said this happens every 2 years or so. My Mom died from Ovarian Cancer so this complication is not a big thing as far as I'm concerned. Just inconvenient.
Just wondering about recovery time as far as holidays and I am a runner and sort of addicted to it. I am not not not doing any more research on it becaues it's too freaky. If you didn't have the cervix removed I believe this would never be an issue.. right?
