Back to work!

Good Morning,

Well it's back to work for me today, I pray all is well.

I feel fine and my dd made sure I took ample time off to heal properly (I am at 8 weeks post op). I'm looking forward to it in a way, been home a long time.

It will be interesting to see how I feel, compared to the other sisters that have returned to work before me.

Take care, and blessings to all the hystersisters out there!!!

Back to work!

Hi Betty,

Hope your first day back at work goes great. I'm so glad you could take 8 weeks off. The more healing before you go back, the better, I think. Sounds like you're really ready to return.

As you make this adjustment, please remember to try to squeeze in some extra'll still be healing inside for good to yourself!

My very best to you...

Back to work!

Betty - Wishing you an uneventful day. Be sure and take it SLOW and EASY. Find some time to prop your feet up throughout the day. You'll probably be tired and a little swelly when you get home...all normal. EASE back into your "normal" routine at work. It takes a little while to get back into the swing of things...but it will happen.

Back to work!

Betty - good luck at work! I'm going back next Monday at which point I'll be 8 weeks. As I said in other posts, the commute is worrying me more than the work! I live on Long Island and work in Manhattan. That's 2 trains and one and a half hours each way! Oh, well......I'm sure I'll adjust. Can't wait to see how you made out, though! I'm glad my dr. gave me 8 weeks!!

Back to Work!

Hi Ladies ,

I'm sorry I did'nt respond last night I did'nt think I would be tired but I was.

After returning to work, all the women confided that had hysters to me, and they were glad to see me. I told absolutely everyone about this website. I love you all!

Work was uneventful yesterday, I received new software on my pc at work and played all day, the day was long. Today was the kicker, we had a firedrill, I walked down the 7 flights of stairs because I refused to stay in the locked fire proof room. So I took my time down the 7 flights of steps, it felt like 14! I pushed the envelope today, and I hope I don't pay for it. I did not experience any pain, but boy am I tired. Going to lay down as soon as I finish. Still listening to my body, and my boss suggested I work half days for the first few weeks or I can leave early when I feel the need (yes she is great). I guess I'm ready to get back to business as usual.

For all the ladies who have not reached the point of return yet, you will get there, take your time and take it easy.

Kathyjo, I hope all works out okay with the ride into the city. I am originally from Long Island and familiar with the trip. Good luck to you.

's to all !

Back to work!

Thanks, Betty! Sorry about the fire drill - but glad you survived your first day back. I'm still taking those 2 hour naps in the afternoon - don't know how that will go over at work on Monday! LOL. I'll take it nice and slow but unfortunately when I go back, it will be full-time but will see if I can duck out early if I'm really in trouble. Thanks for the update! Good luck! Kathy
