surgery on Monday

Its been over 2 and a half months since I was first diagnosed with a large complex right adnexal mass, ie a cyst on my ovary. I cant believe that i have been living with this for so long, ive had 3 x tvs 1 x ct scan and 1 x CA125. My gynae didnt think it was anything to worry about and sent me home for 3 weeks for the inflammation to go down as he thinks it is endo, as i have a history of this (plus my CA125 was under 15)anyway, i was eventually referred to a gyn/onc he also doesnt appear to concerned and has scheduled me for laprascopic removal of ovary on the 20th. I was just looking at my CT results which i only managed to get hold of today and it says, "there is a multiloculated cystic mass" (not sure if thats something to be scared of or not?) but it also indicated that there is no spreading to the lymph nodes or sign of metastatic disease, so thats good!
so i reckon theres only a small chance that I have cancer and if i have its confined to the ovary, which is coming out anyhow.
I just think its shocking how ive been made to live with lots of worry and ive sometimes been downright terrifed just because ive not been kept informed and everything has been so slow (ive not got private health cover) but im glad the end of this worry (and pain) is near and that i can get on with looking forward to my life and my families life. hopefully all will be well, i should be home Wed/Thurs so i'll let you know how i go. thanks, (just needed a rant!)

I'm so glad to read that you have a gyn/onc on your case. It sounds like your medical team has a good plan of action in place.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and that your results are benign and that your surgery and recovery are uneventful and go well.

Come back once you are up to it and let us know how things went. Be sure to take good care of yourself.

Just stopping by to also wish you best of luck with your surgery and beyond. And, especially for the most boring pathology report anyone's ever seen!

Hugs and prayers!
