Gas Surprise

6 weeks tomorrow from TAH and felt I was dying this morning so bloated and full of wind, felt like I'd been stabbed, I knew it was gas though but why at this late stage, was doubled over for an hour or more, tried walking more today and eating very little. It was what I had expected straight after the op, not now. Are all your intestines inflammed after, they feel so bruised inside. Went for the check up today she wasn't concerned said as long as everything is soft it's ok. She was surprised I was tired still!! Thought that was the norm afterwards.

Gas Surprise

I would really look at what you are eating. There may be something you have eaten that is making you feel gassy. Have you tried zantac or gas-x?

I think a lot of us still feel tired at 6 weeks. I think it was around 8 weeks for me that I didnt take a nap every day. Slowly but surely the energy increases.

I felt tired up to about 10 wks post-op. I think it's pretty normal from what I've read here.
