could this pain be adhesion?

Hi, well I have a new pain right above my incision on my left side. I felt it and it is hard when I press there.(maybe a few inches) I was wondering if this is what an adhesion feels like?. I was doing well and had none till now. I picked up a heavy pail the other day that weighed about 30lbs, it hurt my lower back and put me back a couple of days...could this have caused this pain I have now with the hard-like thing near my incision?
Anyone know anything about adhesions or something similar to this??¿ ,I'd love to hear from you...
thanks sisters, for all you do, for all your help always..
Hugs, Annie

could this pain be adhesion?

ooooooooooooohhhhhh!!!!!! annie you must take it easy sister. Your a princess now and lifting heavy things is a definate no no.

I have the same sort of lump on my left side I am told it is from where a large drain was & that caused things to swell.
However everything is weak there, a friend described it as imagine two raw pieces of meat sewn together and then with force they easily pull apart, hence the no lifting part.
It may be nothing, but you may have caused some muscle strain and therefore some further scarring on the healing tissues.
I suggest you check it out with your Doc.

Hope all is well.

All the best to you

could this pain be adhesion?

Anni, You may have a hernia. After abd surgery, the muscles are not all "together" for quite a while. And any strain to those weak muscles can cause a hernia. You better call your doc and make sure. May be nothing, you never know. Good luck and take it easy!

could this pain be adhesion?

Hey! Thanks you guys, all I did was put the kitty liter in the trunk of the car. I really didnt think it could hurt ...the gyn said do anything ya want since 8 weeks ago I think. But I see I can't. My back and apparently the stomach are just out of whack and I guess they will be for some time..I was sure hoping I would'nt get any adhesions as I hear they can really be bothersome. (possible hernia?..ewwww)
I will take it easier, and thanks so much, and I will have it checked out if need be. This operation sure is a rough one, and the recovery is quite long to what I thought it would be. I love you all...
hugs to you... Annie..good day catwest and myst
