radiation is DONE

I am DONE with 6 weeks (30 treatments) of radiation. Hooray!!!! It's true that I still have four chemos, but, for today, I'm trying to ignore that fact.

Interestingly, I didn't have any side effects till the last week, when I developed nausea, gas (!!!!), diarrhea, and, after 28 treatments, a rash. Itch, itch, itch! I don't expect it to last long, though, and I'm so grateful that it all held off till the very end.

Speaking of which, I am so very full of gratitude this Thanksgiving. Gratitude for my husband who takes such great care of me, for my kids who are so supportive, for finishing the d***ed radiation, and for being two weeks post chemo so I can eat a delicious Thanksgiving dinner today!!

Happiest of holidays to you all.

HOORAY--the radiation is over! That has to be a huge relief! The four chemos will go fast, I hope, and not be too hard on you.

It's been a great Thanksgiving for a lot of us. We're...here.

GENIE - I AM SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU! This is a terrific milestone and you did it! Sounds like you did it with flying colors.

I hope the rest of your treatment is as successful and you can put all this behind you once and for all!

I'm glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving - I also thank the lord for my wonderful and supportive family. It was a terrific day to reflect on all the good things in my life.

You are one of those good things! So take care and enjoy your days without the interruption of radiation!
