hello ladies on the other side! I am soooo glad to be one of you! Had surgery (tah) Monday around lunch and got home Wednesday night about 9 pm. Went back today for staple removal (yuck) came home took a nap and here I am! I feel great, suprised by how tired I am, taking a shower and getting dressed is a MAJOR accomplishment, but today is a little better than yestereday and I am sure tomorrow will be better still! I went in expecting a tvh so the incision was not a welcome event, but I knew it was a possibility. Not as bad as I expected thought. Everyone at the castle was super, super great! I had the most wonderful, thoughtful nurses and other staff, I wish there was some way for them to know how much they meant to me! First night almost had my nurse agreeing to kick hubby to make him stop snoring (hehehe)! Bless his heart, I insisted on staying by myself the second night so I could get some sleep! He has been a real blessing through all of this, but Lord knows that man can snore and he was across the room on the couch and I couldn't reach him to give him a little shake and my throat was raw so I couldn't call out real loud....whew..that was a loooong night! I know I am rambling, just so glad to be home and feel like turning on the computer! Thank all of you for your good wishes and prayers and words of advice! And if there is anyone out there that I can help please, please let me know! Love to you all! Tammy

Tammy,

Congrats on coming home. I'm in week 3, and my experience has been that it gets better and better. (Not always every day, but definitely week to week.) This week I've been more tired, but I've also noticed that I have very little pain, so I've been able to cut back on the pain meds and clear my head a little.

Good luck with the snoring dh! (My cats snore, but pretty quietly.)

Hey Princess!!!! Glad you made it over, sorry it was a different surgery, but at least it's over!!
So far as snoring, I'm so with you on that one!! The nurses were cracking up at my dh, I couldn't wake him up for anything. Felt really silly ringing the nurse but had to do something. And of course it was a male nurse to boot. I explain it like this, imagine a tent, now imagine the tent flaps going in and out and in with dh snoring!!!! His grown nieces warned me about it, oh well, I think I'll keep him anyway.
Just don't over do it too quick, I did and I paid for it with added recoup time!!!!
Remember You are loved!!
