Hi pirategrl!

I love your user-name by the way! While I do not use the same HRT product as you, I have read that any HRT regimen can take up to six weeks to reach its full effectiveness, so the fact that you are having some "ups and downs" at this early post-op recovery stage would not pose a terrible concern to me.

However, if troubling symptoms continue for you, do yourself a favor and seek the help of your medical provider. You deserve to be the best "you" that you can be, and your doctor can help you achieve this goal.

Happy Holidays!

emotions?

I went through this too - and I chalked it up to a combo of things.

For me it included going through a major surgery and at some point a huge subconcious release of emotions over that being acomplished, leftover anesthetic, hormones flying or not flying around, pain meds, and I had smooth peanut butter instead of crunchy.

I'm not trying to poke fun at it but trying to show that *everything* at one point was upsetting me for what I thought was no reason, including goofy TV shows that made me cry when under normal circumstances I wouldn't.

I let it all out to get through it like a rite of passage. I would warn visitors I may burst into tears at any moment so don't be scared and I can't conrtol it - also that they didn't need to do anything about it because it would pass on it's own.

It's very normal to go through this and at 7 weeks I can say the mood evens out, so chin up and a big HUG
