Burning sensation

Had a Laproscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy on Dec. 5th. Came home the same day. Today, on my left side it feels like a burning sensation when I stand up to walk, then goes away. Anyone else have this feeling?

Thank-ful its over,
Wizzer

Burning sensation on left side after LSH

Hi Wizzer,

I too had a LSH. Possibly your left side is healing from your surgery site since you are a few days post-op. I had two small hip incisions and a belly button incision. If the burning is closer to the vaginal area, it could be a UTI, which can be common after a hyst.

Either way...if the burning continues, you might call your Dr. just to play it safe.

Sending best wishes~

Mary

Burning sensation on left side after LSH

Yes, I have that too! I think it's where they hook up the ligaments and it's healing. Hurts a LOT sometimes

Burning sensation on left side after LSH

I had LSH too and I have pain and burning in the right side which was the side with the bigger incision. I also find that after all day I need a little more support on that side, it helps control the pain if I wear light support panties. I guess it will go away eventually but sometimes it really hurts. Advil helps. Good luck.

Burning sensation on left side after LSH

I had a LSH as well on 11/20. My left side is the larger incision (2.5 in) and that is where my burning pain is at times. Doc told me this is normal healing. Hope you feel better, but call your doc if you have concerns. That is what they are there for.
