I go in early early Monday 6/4 aarghh!!

It all became really real yesterday when I went for my pre-op at the hospital. I tried to get someone to trade with me. I'll do whatever yucky thing they don't want to do in exchange! No takers. So I'm supposed to be at the hospital at 5:30 AM Monday for a TAH. I've kept my mind off of it for the past 6 weeks by staying very busy. Now there's no time left and I can't sleep. I guess that doesn't matter that much. I'll get lots of sleep next week. This is the first time I've ever had any major surgery. The closest was the laparoscopic gall bladder removal several years ago. Too bad they can't take great mega-fibroids out with laparscopy (sp?). I asked my doctor and she laughed. She also liked the list of questions I had from reading things on this site. She's heard of ya'll and appreciates the help.
SO, think about me on Monday!

hi,genie. first of all, best to you for a speedy, uneventful recovery!! i don't get crowned till 7/24. i am anxious to have everything taken care of and the sooner, the better!! i have a week's vacation that has to be used up before i go in,so it worked out that when i return from vacation,i go in a few days after i come back from the shore. skip work,go directly to the castle and collect my crown!!!!! i HOPE i go early in the morning, since i am a morning person. not one of those chirpy, annoying "happy morning type" people. just have more energy early in the day. i get done on tues, come home thursday. don't you just LOVE those HMO people???? SUCH compassion they don't have for the recently eviscerated!!!! hahaha!!!!! take care. you'll be fine, and all of my,and all the others' prayers are with you on monday. relax and get well!!!! that's ALL that matters, after all!!!!!

me too...

Me too, June 4th, Monday. Only 6 AM, instead of 5:30 AM. At least we'll be under before we get too cranky from no morning coffee!

See you on the other side. Good luck!

Ladies, your wait is almost over. Soon, you'll be on the other side, wearing that shiny new crown Kaatie is polishing and telling others that the waiting is the worst part.

I will be thinking of you and your hyster twins on Monday and wishing you a peaceful stay at the castle.

Looking forward to reading all those stories.
