I thought the same thing for just a second! Had to re-read it twice! my brain fog (usually the result of fibromyalgia and migraines) is worse than usual lately because I've been on narc pain pills for 4 months...This last week alone the bus dispatcher had to call me and tell me to come out and get my kindergartener off the school bus!!! THREE TIMES!! How embarrassing!! Hubby says he's gonna buy me an alarm clock set for the time I'm supposed to go out to meed the bus! Definitely not winning any mother of the year awards this year!

I drove to the store for milk and came home with chocolate, sunflower seeds and NO MILK!!! least I remembered the important stuff! Who needs milk when you have chocolate...besides, there's milk in there somewhere!

Next week will be fun...then I'll have brain fog from fibro, migraines AND surgery...since I'm being put out...I'm definitley not gonna put out too...I'd end up irreparably stupid....(sorry honey)*snicker*

More brain fog moments, we all need to laugh!!!

Almost 9 months out for me. I noticed one of my biggest troubles is not recognizing people that I know when they are outside of their element. I always had this difficulty, but it is really accelerated now. I am a freelance artist and I recently worked with a local photographer on a couple of jobs. I have gotten to be friendly with him and his wife. I walked into a city round table meeting the other day and waved at him, but thinking he was somebody else. Good thing the meeting was about to begin so we didn't personally talk. The meeting was called to order and we went around the room and introduced ourselves. WHEEW!

I am also involved with a local chapter of old-time fiddling. Getting the kids to play music is a big thing in this town, and the kids are great! But I get everybody's kids mixed up and associate them with the wrong families. I know all these people, fairly well! It is really embarrassing when I am congratulating a kid to a mom or dad about how well they are playing their violin, and I got the wrong parent! Two families both have two girls about the same ages, and two other families have between 6-7 kids each. Then there are quite a few other families with lots of other kid fiddlers. Everyone is always in the same room playing at the same time. It gets to be a bit much!!!

My brain fog moment.....

My dh and I went to the drug store to pickup a prescription and when the pharmasicist asked me my name I gave it him.... My husband began to laugh and I thought to myself what is so dh then says to the pharmacist it seems my wife has forgotten who she is today...and then gave them my correct name. It was then that I realized I had given the pharmacist my previous married name...and I make matters worse by saying... it is difficult to remember who I am when I have been three people in the last five years.....The pharmacist then has a puzzled look on his face....
What I meant by that was when I got divorced five years ago I went back to my maiden name, then when I remarried last year, I took my dh husbands name....We have had a good laugh out of that one...I think from now on I will let my dh pick up the prescriptions since they now think I have a split personality since I have three names.

Have a happy day!

Has anybody seen the movie "Joe versus the Volcano"? With Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. "Joe" is a hypochondriac, and his doctor actually diagnoses him with a "Brain Cloud" that according to the doctor is fatal!!

Anyway, my DH and I use the term "Brain Cloud" ever since seeing that movie about 12 years ago!

It fits perfectly, and of course, it's fatal!!

I think its more embarrassing to myself... I was at a gas station and put in my debit card. Ok it asks to put in your zip code. umm what is it.. omg I know it.. but what is it.. bout now I can feel myself going all red in the face. No one there but me but omg what is it. I had to get in my car call my husband and ask him whats my zip code. He's at work and he says WHAT? ok I feel bad enough already just tell my zip code! I had to tell him everything and he says you could just look on your license.. Ha ok didn't even think of that but guess what the next time it happened and yes it happened again thats where I looked HA! Thing is why did I remember that and not the zip

I can't believe I'm still having brain fog moments! My hyst was over 2 years ago, but my HRT is nonexistent, and I can tell a difference!
I recently adopted a Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Doxie mix) and she woke me up one morning so she could go outside and pee, and I was half-asleep, so I let her out. I fell back in bed next to my fiancee, who was dead to the world.
Well I must have fallen asleep because all of a sudden I sat up in bed and didn't see the dog. I started yelling her name, jumped out of bed when I didn't see her run toward me, then frantically started running all over my little house calling her name.
I ran back in the bedroom, tears running down my face, and I shook DF awake and said " oh my god, someone kidnapped Precious"!
He stumbles to the door, opened it, gave me a disgusted look, then stalked back to bed.

There she was, sitting on the doorstep with her head cocked to the side.
God please! I need HRT!!!

Your poor baby! I lock mine IN somethimes. I shut the dog out for the cleaning people and forget to open the dog door again. After about 24 hours of not being able to go out and pee she gets very vocal and THEN I remember! I feel so bad for her. She will never have an accident!

My DH almost dragged me out of bed this AM because of my brain fog moment. I get up alot in the middle of the night and last night I went out to freezer in garage. I had a craving for pound cake and there was one there. Well, I got it and left the freezer door open, the door from the house to the garage open and the light on. This was at about 130am. DH got up and 430am and that is what he found. I told him I was sleep walking and don't remember a thing!!!! He thinks I am nuts!!!
