Not sleeping....

Well, surgery is in two days and I'm in the mode of not sleeping well. Too many things to do running through my head....... I wake up at 1 am...then at 3 am....finally at 4:30 or so, I get up and start doing laundry or reading posts on this site! I guess I'll rest after the surgery! LOL

Thanks to all of you who post here. This site has been a tremendous help to me. Good luck to all of you who are also waiting to go to the castle!

Not sleeping....

I had the same thing 3 nights before my surgery. I'd either have trouble falling asleep or I'd fall asleep without a problem and then wake up several times in the middle of the night thinking of something I forgot to do. I was exhausted by surgery day!

In retrospect, I probably should have called the doctor for a sleeping pill, but I managed to get through it.

Good luck with your surgery.

Not sleeping....

I fully intend to ask for a prescription for something to help me sleep at my pre op. I already know from experience, when I am stressed, I do not sleep well, and that makes me a nasty person to deal with
I do know that Ambien has an offer for 7 free pills if you want to try that. You can print off the offer (it's good through 1/26/07) and the doc writes you a prescription for the 7 pills. If he wants to give you something more, he will have to write another prescription for more. **I sleep like a log with ambien, but it does tend to have an amnesiac affect and I have done some pretty weird things while on it**

Not sleeping....

Hiya Louise,

Yep, been there, did that. I don't think I slept more than four hours at a stretch the entire week leading up to Castle Day. LOL! I slept plenty afterwards!
