Hi Jhenna,

Thank you for your lovely email. Your prayers almost reduced me to tears! They were beautiful.

My anti sickness tablets ended yesteday so I am taking it easy today. I feel a bit lightheaded but am at work right now.

Take good care and much love.

Help needed from my Sisters please

Hi Vicki,

Thank you for asking after my arm.

It has reduced in swelling now but is awfully bruised. I shall call my doctor if it gets any worse.

I am having a bit of a bad day at the moment. It is so hot where I live and that is flaring up my hot flashes and stirring up the chemo.

I am in general feeling sorry for myself which I know is not good - but I thought I would liven myself up by turning on my computer and talk with everyone!

This is already working !!!!!!!!!

Much love to everyone.

's Tania!!!

Oh you are having a rough time of it. So sorry to hear that. When I was having chemo, I used to be so envious of the people who had the port as they didn't have to get the needle in the hand everyday.
Now I see that procedure carries its share of problems as well.

Are you finsihed with the chemo for a couple weeks now to give you a break?

I also hope the lightheadness is gone now, or at least better. I know so well what that feeling was like. Mine would last for days and I would tell the chemo nurses about it, and they would say "chemo affects everyone differently", and I probably was not eating as regularly as I should have during that time either.

I hope you get some relief soon from the soreness in your arm, and the heat as well. We are having high 90's today..and sooo humid. Takes all the good out of a person doesn't it?
Sending good thoughts and prayers Tania. We can all see your Victory party on the horizon !!! Hang in there!!! You are stronger than you know!
Love and Hugs!

Love hearing from you

Hi tania ,

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. 'Are you not much more valuable than they?' Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
Matthew 6:25

Much love and hugs to you. Things will start looking up for you because you're such a special person .

Keep in touch.

Dear Maria and Jhenna,

I am nearing the end of the week as far as the side affects go and am off work today. I was putting on a brave front all week which disintegrated yesterday!

I feel like I am making progress though and might even exercise today - I need to feel more normal.

Maria -

My Mother is having chemo too - she started before me for a different cancer type and she had traumas with her first chemo - chest line. The chemo itself did not affect her but the second one they used - through the hand - had far too many affects so now she is on tablets - it is marvellous. She is up and doing house chores and looks so young and wonderful. I really feel that the doctors should start to look into the tablets more for people when possible.

My next chemo is in two weeks and I plan to pack a lot of living into those weeks! Parties to go to etc. I now realise what life means. When I was a teenager I was studying hard and never went out - I missed a lot of fun!

Thank you so much Maria for your kind words - much love and best wishes. Tania xxxxx

Jhenna - Thank you so much - you are a very special person too. Keep well and

Hugs (((Tania)))

Great to hear from you!! Nice that you are off work today! Hope its a nice sunny day there.

I know exactly what you mean when you say you need to feel more normal. Seems like when we are going through the treatment that takes centre stage, then when finished one its getting through the side effects, then by the time we feel good again its time to start stressing about the next upcoming treatment. Yes...normal is nice.
Feeling "normal" for me was when I knew I would be able to return to work. I took the entire 4 months off, so in my mind I would keep saying...once I was back to work...life for me would then be "normal".
So sorry to hear that your mom is also under going chemo. Great that she can take it in pill form though! My best to her as well!!
Love and Hugs!!

{{Tania}}

I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better, looking forward to two whole weeks of no treatment! Woo HOO!

I sure hope you'll enjoy yourself during your "off" time! I did the same on my off weeks also. I tried to fit as much into that time as possible, including catching up at work. Even went dancing a couple of times on the weeks I felt really good! I was more than pleased to see the wig didn't go flying!

I agree wholeheartedly! Normal is a very good feeling!

I'm so sorry to hear your mom is also undergoing treatments. I am glad to hear that's she doing so well though! That's wonderful!

How's your arm doing by the way? I hope the bruising has lessened and its not causing you any pain.

Hang in there, you'll get through this and on to a normal, happy HEALTHY LIFE!

Hi Sisters,

Thank you for your messages.

My arm looks worse but it is getting better. I had a chat with the doctor on Friday and she said all sounds okay with me so that reassured me a bit. I have a stinker of a cold right now - I was being so careful and avoiding everyone who sneezed etc. but my boyfriend and a colleague both had bad colds and I could not avoid them! Thankfully I am managing to make the most of my two weeks 'off'. I am going to a party next weekend - and showing a friend around town the day after - plus I am doing a broadcast on the local radio on Friday. I used to do a lot of radio and I do enjoy it.

Love to all - the sun is shining here - I hope it is shining on you too.
