Anyone notice anything negative or symptoms when switching from the same dose Climara to Vivelle? After about 6 weeks, I got tremendous hip and knee joint pain???

I switched from vivelle dot to femring and 1/2 of a climara patch, and I'm having lots of aches and pains. My asthma was really bad on the vivelle, though, so at least I can breathe!

Climara .01 to Vivelle .01

I switched from .05 climara to .05 vivelle dot. On the climara, I was having a few hot flashes and mood swings (nothing too bad) on the last day of the patch. Changing the vivelle dot twice weekly seems to have helped with this. Note though: I was only on Climara for 6 weeks before my Dr. said I could try the Vivelle Dot, so it may have evened out eventually, I don't know.

I'd be interested in knowing how you feel at the 6 week mark. I beleive the Climara gives you an overall higher estrogen level than the Vivelle of the same strength. JMHO and from my own experience. I change my Climara every 5 days.

Climara .01 to Vivelle .01

I just started the Climara .01 patch. The nurse put it on the day of surgery. Yesterday I had to put a new one on, lost the old in the shower. I had to replace it to my buttocks....on the lower ab. the patch stuck to my panties and peeled loose the first day. Day 3-5 PO and on the patch I had occasional sweats, crying (I feel for no reason), insomnia and bad dreams. Now 1 week po, I only have the sweats, but they are fewer and farther in between. Will I go through these again as my recovery continues and my body becomes used to the patch? Was this usual to experience?

1wk po TAH, Adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, 43YO.

Climara .01 to Vivelle .01

I have been on Climara for almost 2 years. I did try to switch to Vivelle briefly when I was getting allergic reactions to the Climara adhesive, but I didn't last long with Vivelle (only a few weeks)--I just didn't feel as well on it as I did on Climara.

I am had the same problem with climara. It would not stick on me well. So they switched me to the vividell dot, and that has worked ok for staying on my so far. I am at the 6 week mark.
