Estrogen and sciatica
I now have put 2 and 2 together. Estrogen is causing my sciatic pain. I have had this unrelenting sciatic pain for months! Yesterday, I forgot to take my estrogen pill and didn't take one until this morning. I felt great yesterday, really great. I had no sciatic pain AT ALL. Today, it is killing me. I am sure the two are somehow related. Could I have remaining endo in that area after all this time that is reactivated by the estrogen? I know when I used the patches the pain was much, much worse.

Estrogen and sciatica
There might be a connection! I say that because I have problems with pain that could be sciatic. I have endo but I do have my ovaries so I am not using HRT. However, with my own ovaries, I can have rollercoaster hormone issues and I notice when I have one thing going haywire in my pelvic region, it is all haywire!
So, we think that a lot of my issues might be when my estrogen is higher as I tend to have some estrogen dominance issues. Of course, when your estrogen levels are higher, the endo goes nuts!
I suggest you talk to your doctor about what has happened and ask for some suggestions/opinions. It could be that the issue is not endo, I know for myself my first thought is always "is this endo?!" Since you do have the ability to adjust your hormone levels, your doctor might want to tweak your levels and see if that helps. I would not advise tweaking your levels on your own however.
I wish you the best and would be interested to hear what you find out! Take care! s
