Overies and Night Sweats... HELP!

I had a TVH a year and a half ago. I kept my overies, BUT for the past 4-6 months I have had horrible night sweats! I have to get up to change my night gown every night! I went to the Dr. and she said that my hormone levels are within the normal limits, but thought I might be going through perimenopause... BUT, I am only 33...I don't know what to do. I am not taking any hormones and don't want to go on antidepressants, like the DR suggested.
I also have been gaining weight even though I am dieting and exercising. I don't know what to do! Any suggestions???

Overies and Night Sweats... HELP!

((((Amanda))))) I'm so sorry you're going through all of this

I had my hyst 6 years and am now going through peri-menopause. However, I'm a lot older than you: turned the big 5-0 last September.

I'm not on HRT either, as my doctor is reluctant to prescribe them. However, because the insomnia is sooooo bad and is seriously affecting my ability to function (and think!!!), she prescribed Trazodone. It's an anti-depressant often used to help with insomnia.

One of the unexpected benefits of the Trazodone has been that it put a stop to my hot flashes and night sweats It may be worth your while to try a similar products, if it brings the relief you're look for

Overies and Night Sweats... HELP!

I am sorry you are going through this. I was 31. I am now 32 and I do take anti and use a patch. For me I had to do something. I don't like the idea of depending on meds but I wanted a better life. I do wish you the best of luck. This is hard to go through. I was told that I would no have these problems.
