Dinner and a Movie

After a 24 hour bout with stomach flu I was back to feeling great last night so my roomie (who just happens to be a Labor and Delivery/ICU RN of 25 years) treated me to this great place where they serve dinner at your theater seat. The only pain I felt was the occasional twinge while laughing at Ben Stiller as the night watchman in "Night in the Museum."

I did feel a little swelling last night but it was back to flat this morning and even my blood pressure was much lower without meds and without pain meds.

All in all I'm feeling so good that it is very hard to sit still even though I know I need to. I guess it is time to open the DVD set of the first season of "24" that my son gave me to keep me "down."

thanks to all of you for all the great tips (especially "boy shorts" worn inside out - awesome!) and encouragement. I was able to teach my Resident doctors a thing or two just from what I'd learned here!

Dinner and a Movie

LyghteKeeper,
We share a surgery date...well a year apart anyway. lol Wow what a time to get the stomach flu huh....not that there is ever a good time to get it.
You sound like you are doing well and healing nicely for 2 weeks. I think I was at about 2.5 wks when I ruptured a few stiches on the cuff. Be careful as you start to heal and take care of yourself.I heard from many sisters on this site..."You only get one chance to heal properly...so do it well".
Good luck to you.....
