Alternative for polyp removal
Ha anyone had alternative suggested for removal of polyps? I have reas that they can resect them or remove them hysteroscopically with a resctoscope and then ablate the uterus but not too many docs do this as of right now. I am bleeding because of the polyps at least that is what the radiologist said. I have yet to talk to my doc. I just want to be aware of the alternatives if he tells me I have a hysterectomy. I am at least gald they did the hyst- sono as this has been going on for three years. An endobiopsy done three years ago actually seems to stop the bleeding for a year ands it was basically anormal biopsy. But a year later I started bleeding again and they put be on bcp which I had to go off. Thank goodness they did the sono as they just thought it was aperimenopause dysfunctional bleeding thing.
I know that a d and c is not going to work as it is a binf procedure and would probably miss haldf the polyps. So I just want to get all my ducks in a row for when I speak to my doc.
Thanks

Alternative for polyp removal
Hello and welcome to the site!
I have not had the alternative you mentioned, but I believe there are other women on the site that have tried this route. I have a link to a site that discusses alternative treatments for a number of different gyn concerns. I hope this helps you in deciding which treatment is right for you. Good luck on your decision and I want to let you know that researching all your options is a very smart idea!

Thank you for your reply, that site is quite helpful. I will not be able to talk to my doc till next Wednesday so they are leaving me on Provera until then. What a pain in the neck as I hate waiting . I guess they do not t hink my little problems are enough of an emrgency to rush to the office and look at my results. I guess it gives me more time to look around to find information.

Alternative for polyp removal
You are welcome! I am glad you were able to find some helpful information on the site! Waiting is a pain in the neck, I am not good at it when it comes to medical issues either. Then again, I do like to be in good health, so I guess impatience in this area is to be expected.
