Princess48 and On the Couch - I know exactly how you feel. I am sorry to say I way overdid it this week. I was out Tuesday, Wednesday, yesterday only to drive ds to drama club and today my dh is home sick and I went with him to dr and then to run an errand. I am in so much pain and so swollen I can't believe it. My stomach was not this swollen when I came home from the castle. My incision looks redder and I am still getting a lot of pulling and feels like tearing. I cannot believe how much pain I am in. I am so tired and hurting my ds had to help me up from the couch. Now I know I am overweight and tired and weak muscles from so much inactivity but this is ridiculous, I have been getting up on my own for many weeks now.

To everyone else hope you are having a great day. Sorry if I forgot to mention anyone, I read all the posts but brain fog has definitely set in today and can't remember anything.

Hugs to everyone.

Hi Bookah212 - I am here as I was reading the other thread and saw this had been started. I am surprised my box is full, I did not think it was but I will check it. I also thought it was my fault that we were being asked to move with all my talk about the kids with not doing homework.

Loved the story about the boy mooning someone. I too would find it hard to punish especially at a young age.

I am so glad I was able to find the site.

I don't have a good voice but love to sing to oldies (motown and music from the 60's) or dare I say disco music. Does it count my son is in chorus and as everyone knows my other son is starring in "Andy". He only has to do one song totally by himself. For all the musicians and singers he is getting very nervous I have told him if he misses a line to just keep on going no one will know that he missed something and that most of the people in the audience will be friends and parents of students that attend the school. Any other advice you think I should tell him?

I just posted an update on the other thread about my recovery progress which should be going so much better I think.

For those who don't know my name it is Nanette, middle name is Susan and sometimes people call me Nan.

I cannot believe how many posts are already on this new thread. I am so excited about keeping in touch with all of you because I do think we are a great bunch of women and yes we must all be very chatty since I had noticed our post op thread had more posts than any other week.

Talk to you guys later. Everyone have a great evening.

Princess48 - I do not know if this is normal but I have my post op Monday and will have a lot of questions for the dr since I am serious when I say my tummy was not this swollen right after surgery and has really gotten worse with me doing things this week. I am also wondering if my incision is feeling worse because of the swelling making it stretch more and hopefully not TMI but causing a bigger crease on the incision. My dh even thought the incision looked better last week when I wasn't so swollen. I will definitely post on Monday after I see the doc.

I am totally confused also since I am still not lifting, bending, stretching so I do not feel like this is normal.

I hope all of us not feeling well get better quick and for those of us feeling good congratulations!!

Princess48 - I don't think so since from some of the other posts some of the women did not get internals. My doc told me he will do an internal on Monday. I am not sure what he is checking for since I did keep my cervix I guess that is what he will be checking). If you are concerned why don't you call and ask why you did not get an internal. I have learned not to just take drs at their words no matter how good they are so ask the question. The answer just may be that he does not do them. I really don't think it is anything for you to worry about.

I know I am really tired so sometimes rethink what I have said so I hopefully did not give the impression that I am so overweight. I do have to admit I need to lose 50 pounds and I am hoping to start working on this as soon as I am not in so much pain so that I can exercise.

I am sending you lots of hugs!!

Nan - Tell your son not to sweat about the performance. Nerves are a good thing because they give you energy. One of my coaches used to say nerves give you butterflies in your stomach, the challenge is getting those butterflies to fly in formation! LOL But also, tell him people are going because they want to have a good time and enjoy the performance... live performance is different every time! If they wanted a PERFECT performance they could rent the movie! The'yre coming because they WANT to see him and his friends... and they expect it to be unique and full of spirit... perfect doesn't enter into it!
