only 6 inches--lol I grew up in the upper peninsula of Michigan. 6 inches ins't that much..especially at this time of the year..it will melt and make a mess in no time!! LOL

I have all the picturs, shelves, and miscellaneous candle holders, etc. packed. I am having DH go through his clothes tomorrow so I can give some to St. Vincent de Paul. Less to pack

singingmad: have fun at the game!!!

Have a great day!!

Feeling very tired but ok. It is nine weeks today since my op. Gosh remember all that snow in the UK? I keep getting these blood blisters on my scar. Had one which burst now all is ok. Have another one very small on the lumpy bit of my scar the bit that was infected. Has anyone else experienced this? Work is fine just tiring and I'm really tired so I'm going to bed. Hopefully I'll have more time to post tomorrow. BP.

Wow, I only missed reading for one day and there was so much to catch up on. Looks like everyone is doing pretty good. Pocono you can post as long as you like. It always makes for interesting reading. I've heard good things about the shots. (Pretty effective) I fell (apx. 10ft.) while rocking at, no joke, Fall Creek Falls Park in TN. Cracked my back, broke my wrist, sprained a leg. What "cracked" up my best friend the most was the fact that I bounce well! After I managed to limp out of the 700 foot gorge during a thunderstorm, she laughed about "the bouncing" all the way to the hospital. Now I find it humorous , then...not so much.

Summersday congrats on your new home. Take care while moving.

Rodswife, here's hoping this little miracle causes your ds to grow. Maybe he'll suprise you. I have just the opposite problem with my nails. They keep splitting and peeling away. I don't know what vitamin you are taking, but I want some.

Singingmad, enjoy Florida. It beats the devil out of all of this snow and cold weather we've been having. My ds will be playing his bass for the play starting tomorrow. I'm looking forward to this. I forget the name of the play, but it isn't one I'm familiar with.

Onthecouch my trip to the gym was a mild one for the first day. The trainer has me doing my back exercises first thing to warm up. Then it's push ups off the wall, pull downs with light weights, ab crunches while balancing on a big giant ball, treadmill, and recumbant bicycle. Very mild exercises compared to what I'm used to. It felt good though. I won't be allowed to go to the big weight machines until I can do 3 sets of 20 on everything they gave me.

catnapper, what do you know about the air mattress/sleep number bed? I've also heard waterbeds are good for back problems.

Bookah, I'm glad it was good news from the doc. Take it easy!

FF1962 were you glad to get back to work. I forgot how much I enjoy my job. Sometimes it gets a little upsetting , but for most part I enjoy the people.

Princess48 do you know when they will allow you to return to work yet?

Cbrn how is your job going? Still working 10-12 hour shifts? I had read somewhere that after 8 hours a mind wears down. Do you find that to be true on your long shifts? I'm usually very wired by the time I get home.

I started my 6a-2:30pm shift but I'm still not out of there until around 5. It is still a little hard to roll out of bed about 4:30a. There is a severe need to do laundry around here so I think I should go and get that done. That way ds will stop complaining of having nothing to wear to school tomorrow. (He is 16 and does know how to do his laundry, just prefers I do it. Says it smells better---riiiiiight.)

Good night all

Hi Babs, glad your trip to the gym turned out so well. You will be back to the heavy duty stuff in no time I am sure. Does your back still bother you? You are lucky you did not get hurt worse after your fall. Thanks for saying I can post as long as I like. Sometimes I feel like it is too much.

Theresa - (ilv2so6). Welcome to the site and glad you came over. How have you been feeling? I know you must be busy with the kids moving back. I will talk to you soon.

Hey there can someone please help me with a couple of questions. One how do you know that you have adhesions (other than a Laparoscopy to diagnose) I mean I am having pains in areas of my belly that I never had before. I have an app't with a gastro dr, my regular dr and my gyn all within the next month. Have to get to the bottom of this pain. Also any recommendations on some light excersices to help get back into shape. My legs, knees and whatever are killing me. Hey one good thing my acne finally has stopped. Yippee. I am glad to see a chatter room for us.

Hi Nanette, I finally found the site. The grandbaby is teething and so miserable with it. What can you do but love them and sooth them. How is the weather up there? We had some bad rain today and expecting more on the weekend. The cold temps really hurt the flowering trees. ITS GETTING GREEN OUTSIDE! I love it. How is your family?

babs - sounds like you had one long shift! I hope you get a chance to take it easy.

Ilv2so- welcome, glad you found us. It is my understanding that there is no scan that can dx adhesions. The only way to find out is through surgery. I hope you find another answer.

Rodswife- I am glad you get to be grandma and not mom. I hope you get to have a good chance to show the baby some love and support and that your ds grows from this. I'm glad to hear that your relationship is back on the upswing too.

I'm just winding down after a very, very stressful day. I only got 15 minutes of sleep last night. That's what I get for skipping the Lunesta. Well, I am going to lay down. Have a great evening everyone.

well~

hope everyone had a great Holiday. Ours left a bit to be desired. #4 had the stomach bug. My brother's wife has decided that their 4 week old baby doesn't need a pacifier and doesn't need to be held and should be self soothing and putting herself to sleep. So easter was fun!! Now #3 has it and # 2 is coming down with it. I am drinking wine..... trying to sanitize my system from the inside out!

anyway, I am feeling better and better every day. I can do more and more and am very pleased. The no bleeding thing is finally sinking in. I still have a very tight abdomen and am not as flexible as I used to be, but that will come. I think back to January when I joined and wow, have I come a long way...

Just for kicks, you all should go back to the beginning of your posts and of this thread and see how far we have come.

hey, so goodnight and here is to us getting better!

Bagpuss
I get those too - right where I had my little infection - I want to be free of those before I can feel good about a bath or a nice soak in a hot tub!!!! - hope it's all better by the 29th - my 23rd Anniversary. I get more energy each day and can lift things again after the 18th.
Bests
