Hey Princess48! I know how you feel about being bored! Sometimes I wish I had a job outside of the home just to have something to do besides spend money! I feel good, too! I've been working out, but it's getting really old!!! Guess I'll watch Y&R. There is nothing else on!! Have a good day! Elizabeth

Hi everyone. I am just doing a quick post. I know for everyone else they have done it but today was the first day I wore jeans and I was not really sure that they would fit me but they did.

Singingmad - I grew up in New York, Queens to be exact and I worked in Manhattan for 16 years. My dh still works there. Dh and I still have family there so we go back every couple of months and more often in the summer. You will have to let me know what you went to see while you were down there. I actually have not been to Times Square in a long time but I know it has changed. They have tried to clean up the area and have built the big hotels. Glad you had a good time.

I am really tired today as I had a lot of errands to do and left the house at 8:45 a.m. with dh and got home about 3:45 p.m. I figure not bad since I only had 3 hours of sleep last night but I am paying for it now.

Rodswife and Princess48 - I am also a stay at home mom but only feel bored once in a blue moon. If I did all the projects I need to do I don't think I would have time to be bored.

I am not sure who asked but I go for my 1st shots next Monday. I am praying that they work and I get truly get my life back. I have started lifting just 2 pound weights and trying to walk very little but like today just walking around the mall and from one stop to another has made my leg hurt unbelievably. I just found out the chiropractor I started going to last week has a gym upstairs from his office and for basically the same price as Curves you get more one on one attention from the guy in charge and he will make the program as easy or as hard for you as you want it. If the shots work I may join that.

Some quick post but we all know I love to talk. (lol). Hope everyone has a great evening.

Hi Theresa, I thought it was you asking about the shots. Sorry you are not feeling great but today was a beautiful day. I am sure it will take you a few days to recoup from the bridal shower. Glad it went well.

Hi Pocono - We really only saw stuff from the top level of the tourbus, but definitely want to go back to see The Empire State Building, the WTC memorial, Greenwich Village, Rockefeller Center, Central Park... definitely a show or two (I was a theater major way back when but NEVER got to broadway!!!), the Museum of Native Americans, MOMA, Ellis Island. I did the Circle Line Ferry tour around Manhattan a few years back but would like to do that again as well. Maybe if I plan far enough in advance we could meet somewhere!

We saw all the above and more but only from the bus. I used to go to NYC all the time but with friends who lived there, and like me living near Boston, I don't go often... only when friends come to visit. When I went to NYC before my friends felt funny doing tourist things, so I never got to really go and see the stuff up close. My DP and I hope to go back and stay for maybe a week... that'll be enough to do a few things anyway!

We just adopted a puppy today.... he's a 4 month old pit bull who came into the hospital with a broken leg. His owners didn't want to pay for the surgery so we adopted him and will have the surgery done, then find him a new home. Poor little thing! We did the same thing last year... adopted a 4 year old yellow lab who needed surgery and who's owners didn't want to take care of her during recovery.... the owners come in and say, "just put them to sleep" but if its an animal that appears to have a healthy life ahead of them but just needs some extra care now, we try to help out. I just know though that if this little one comes home I'll want to keep him and we just CAN'T have a third dog... especially a puppy who will potentially grow substantially! But it feels good to be able to help him out at least for now. Hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather. I just went out and raked the garden and my stomach told me to STOP!!!!!!!!!

Guineapigs38 hi we are right outside of Philly and we listen to Action News so we are tuned in to your plight. I am very sorry to hear that people have to resort to those tactics to possibly delay a class assignment or whatever the reason. I bet that is all it is. I hope that you and your daughter don't worry to much, I am sure it's nothing serious but they must take those precautions. This really messes up the students with their studies and all. I feel so bad for them and their families. Take care.

Guneiapig38 It's so sad that there are so many copycats around. I'm trying to get back to more of my routine but I still 'run out of gas" more easily than before. - still it is so much better than before I had the surgery. Hope everyone has a good night.

Hi I'm suffering with real bad hayfever and allergies at the moment. I was off work yesterday due to exhaustion and the allergies. I have various inhalers and a steroid nasal spray. I rather overdid things at the weekend. I was singing most of the weekend. Rehearsals on Friday and Saturday then two services in Suffolk on Sunday with no chance of escape. I enjoyed it but I'm paying the price. I was in bed all yesterday and my scar was pulling and aching. Still have a very bad cough and I've never been a smoker.

I'm feeling really bewildered as our recovery thread has been closed. I'm not ready to give up this. Others who had their hysts in December still had their forums open. I'll probably look on the UK as I'm still feel that I'm needing a lot of support. Some of the emotional issues are still coming to the surface. My scar might have physically healed but it still pulls twists and burns. If these were issues to do with my recovery last week why are they no longer valid to post on that recovery forum. I dont want any bird song or lines of poetry I just want to tell it as it is. At 11 and a half weeks I'm still hurting.
