Hi singingmad, my dd just got married over the weekend and it as ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. We had my life long girlfriend come down from NYC and sing during the wedding she was fantastic and then at the end my dd had a guy play a bagpike with Scotland the Brave playing as they walked out of the church. It was so wonderful. My dd and I made the gown and veil and she was so beautiful. Her gown just floated as if she was on ice. The down part of the day and I didn't let it get to me was are you ready for this. A towing company followed me from my home to the church and repossessed my van. They waved as they towed it away. I now look back on it and laugh. We got it back on Monday morning oh well. The temps are unbearable here in NJ humidity is even worse. Went swimming for the first time in years on Sunday and even jumped off a diving board and my grandkids and kids got a big kicked out of it. I have been feeling great. All my belly twinges are gone and hot flashes are down to a minimum (only a slight discomfort now). Now about the only thing that hurts are my feet and legs by days end and I think its from the heat. The fourth of July was so nice the weather was perfect. How is everyone else? Nanette I treid to email you but it got kicked back to me. Talk to everyone soon.

Hi Jayne, glad to hear things went so well yesterday. Good luck with tomorrow's surgery. I know it is tough to be away from the kids but just think how excited they will be to see you when you get back. Take care.

Hi Theresa, How was the wedding? You will have to e-mail me and tell me all about it.

Everyone have a good evening.

Jayne, thanks for the update. I'm glad to hear that hubby is doing better and wish him luck on Wed.

Theresa, of all the days to have the trouble with the van! I'm glad you can have a sense of humor about it. It sounds like you had a wonderful day anyway.

Hi, Nan.

That's awesome news Jayne! It sounds like you're both getting something you need... and I'm so glad the surgery has gone well.

ilv2so6, sounds like the wedding was perfect, even if there was that repo glitch. Way back when I worked in collections (mostly foreclosures of multifamily homes) and some of the people in my office did vehicle repos. They actually WATCHED for wedding announcements because they knew it'd be the one place the could locate the vehicle and have plenty of time to get it back. Its stinks that's for sure! And unfortunately the people who do that kind of job get very hardened to it.... your DD's dress sounds awesome and the music sounds like it must have been very personal and memorable. Bet you're glad to have it behind you now even though I"m sure it was a wonderful day for everyone.

Sounds like everyone is doing a bit better with their recoveries. My doc kept reminding me that I'd have discomfort through the end of July... and I actually believe it will fade by then because other than a slight tenderness I feel pretty much back to my old self! YAY!!!

You know singingmad my dd was going to make the payment for me the Thursday before the wedding but she forgot the payment at the house. Oh well. Yes we are glad its over however beautiful a day it was. Now with that behind and my health getting better I am hoping to get back on my feet. We have dr bills like crazy and a new well that just had to get drilled so many things set us back and I am hoping for a brighter second half to 2007.

Think it is bagpipes not bagpikes but hope that you had a lovely wedding. I had my ds's sports day today and it was overcast and cold. I'm still having problems with my scar. I am just hoping that it is healing properly but I am not sure as it is hard and bumpy but no more poison. Wish the weather would warm up a bit in the UK. Bagpuss

bagpuss, have you tried putting cocoa butter on the incision to soften it up a bit? My doc recommended that or vitamin e oil. It helped ALOT!
