The funniest part is that came out of a Spanish persons mouth! You had to be here!
Wallasey is near Liverpool so it's MILES away from here. We are about 35 minutes from London on the train. Usually we say 'getting your knickers in a twist' but there may be regional variations. A true cockney is someone born within the sound of Bow bells. That area is truly multi racial now. There are books of rhyming slang and I expect new slang is created all the time. Some people especially from East Lonson use it in conversation but not all the time. To poconowoman: a Consultant is usually a doctor who is a specialist in their field. A consultant might also be a surgeon who performs operations. A GP is usually someone who has had extra training and specialising in general medicine in the community. We also have NHS care and private care. Usually NHS consultants do private work as well. You can usually build up a good relationship with your private consultant as you have more time to see him. On the NHS you would rarely see the same doctor twice unless you were deemed high risk or an interesting case. The standards of care between individual hospitals does vary but between private and NHS should be the same!! Hope this helps.

Hi Ladies ! You are all the best - you keep me sane during this time. I should state that I go between 2 boards as my STAH was on the 12th. I did get that swelly belly band and it helps a lot - but I'm not sure if I can wear it to work as I am slated back on the 26th for now - but my doc says she wants light duty for the first two weeks. I think I am going to go to lunch with DH and a friend - than maybe mall walk for a bit - the 800 mg motrin is a lot of help but the walking really is the thing to keep me regular. I went to Costco with my daughter the other day and I needed gas - when I got to the pump - the station attendant saw me and my pillow start to get out of the car and he came and put the gas in for me - he said how glad he was to help - what a nice surprise at a warehouse type store - I did no lifting and I rode in the electic cart on that trip - it will be weird to push a cart next month. I too am hope ful that the sex thing will not be a problem - the last things they tried treating me with gave me almost a constant period since Christmas.......I think I'd like a night at a hotel for my birthday (April 7) or maybe a visit to a waterpark for our anniversary (4/29) Hope everyone has a great day! feel better All

Update for those concerned regarding riding 10 hours in a car. I failed to mention, we will drive four hours Friday afternoon, just to get out of Florida and Georgia, then hotel it, resuming the remaining 6 hours on Saturday. We don't make potty stops at icky gas stations. My DH always finds a Cracker Barrel to wander through or at least a fast food joint for the cleaner toilets. DH won't let me do any more than I am allowed and even after 26 years, he is my dearm come true. His mom died suddenly when he was 17 and I think this really impressed on him how delicate our lives are. She must have been a great mother, because he can cook, clean, and I've never had to pick up a sock after my DH. Needless to say, I will be well taken care of.

With Rheum.Arthritis, I have a special parking permit that I very rarely use, so today I am planning to drive (first time) to WallyWorld, park up close with all the crips, and ride the go-cart through the store. I want to get some sweat pants, shirts, and some more mini pads. Maybe I'll pick up a roasted chicken for dinner tonight! If the sewing dept has extra-wide elastic, I will make my own belly band, as I need to support my overly tender skin and perhaps make me more comfortable on the trip. Oh! And candy and snacks for the drive! woo hoo!

Here in Kentucky we say, "Don't get your panties in a wad." I think when I go back to school I'm going to say to the next teacher that gets uptight, "Hey, don't get your knickers in a bunch." Wonder what they'll say.
Pocono: mean post was on aching hearts or something. She posted some stuff in that forum and then posted something about "does anybody read this stuff anyway." I was bothered by original post but all these wonderful kind ladies tried to be there for her and she came back and blasted them--used the word idiots and even blasted for sending cyber hugs. Even after that, there were still nice ladies that tried to offer her some comfort. Those ladies are certainly better than me.

well, now, that' s about the most appropriate term--I'll have to share that with my husband--the expression not my actual playpen because I haven't been released yet

Img: I like you, too and the hugs. But, I'm not so wonderful, I had to pray before I could post because there were so many angry things I wanted to say
