Welcome, Sunlite. You're about a week ahead of me in recovery so I'll be interested to know how you're doing. I was planning to go back to work(where I'm on my feet a lot) at the 5 week point but am not so sure after today. I went for about a 25 min. walk this afternoon, followed by a trip to the grocery store. After being in the store for about 5 min., I started to feel pain around my incision again. Thank goodness they offer curbside pick-up. If only I could have brought the nice young man home with me to carry the groceries into the house.

catnapper,
my surgery date is the same as yours and I don't know what type of surgery you had but mine was an sah and I would not be able to go back to work at 5 weeks which is this coming Wed. Does your dr. know that you are planning on this?

I was excited to be able to go out for about 3 1/2 hours today and while I came home exhausted and still feel that way I did not start to have any real pain from my outing until tonight.

Hi I've also been out today. I have been to Church and then out for a bit of shopping at TKMax and then lunch at a pub/restaurant. Feel very achy now but it is good to get out and about. Is this what getting back to normal is all about? Haven't a clue what girl scout cookies are? just hope they are really yummy. Do you have the recipe? Bagpuss/Jane/. Ps it is sunny here too probably about 16c in the UK.

I was never a Girl Scout. Not even a Brownie. So, I'll let someone else address the Girl Scout cookie craze!! I did eat an unlawful amount last night

I know I have posted about going up into my daughter's room and nearly falling over. Last night at about 1:30 am I went up to check on her. I still feel uncomfortable going up all those stairs so my husband is still taking her to bed. You won't believe this--IT WAS WORSE. There wasn't even a path to her bed I cleared a path to hed bed making sure she was under the lump of blankets on her bed then proceeded to clear a walkway back to the door. I was so angry last night

Today, I offered my 15 year-old son $40 to clean the room with my 4.5 yr old. He smiled and said sure. Walked upstairs. 2 minutes later he was back at my door and looked at me like I was nuts!! That's how bad the room is. I held up my hand displaying 5 fingers. Then he gave me a thumbs up

Desperate times take desparate measures. I didn't have the heart to complain to my husband--he has to do laundry and grocery shopping today. Sorry for venting.

Hello everyone, I didn't do too much yesterday, even though my plan was to do nothing. My DH took me to the mall to walk around a bit and out for lunch. It was nice just the two of us.On April 12 we will be together 24 years, July 25 we will be married for 20 years. Then we went to our cousins and played some pool. Now today I am not doing nothing, but I am sure that plan will change.Talk to you later.

Bagpuss45 The Girl Scouts is a club for young ladies. They start as Daisies, I think, then Brownies, then Girl Scouts. Every year they sell boxes of cookies of varying kinds to support this non-profit organization. They earn badges, go camping and other various activities.

I was a brownie, now called rainbows, a girl guide and a ranger. I also became a Queens Guide. I suppose it must be a similar thing. All started by Lord Baden Powell 100 years ago. Great fun. Girls can now join the scouts but not thirty years ago when I was guide.

I was a Bluebird and then a Campfire Girl which is also similar. I didn't last very long though. Was introduced to Girl Scouts with my daughter.

I practically have to ground my 16 year old to get him to clean his room. Then I check under the bed and in the closet to make sure he didn't just rearrange the mess! He still doesn't understand why that is a 1x per week project.
