Solution for Sage Tea

Hello, Sisters~
I know I've heard some of you talk about hot sage tea for hot flashes. I decided to give it a try last night and it worked better than I had expected it to. Only thing is -- the taste!
Now I understand why one sister said that it wasn't something you would want to drink if you didn't have to.
Well, anyway, I thought there's got to be something you can do about that taste.
So what goes well with sage? And then it hit me! boullion!! -- Chicken, beef, vegetable, and so on. Also, for low sodium there is no-salt seasoning. That tasted pretty good, too. But my favorite by far is chicken boullion.
Well sister, don't know if this will help some of you, but the idea has worked for me and I just wanted to pass it along!

That was smart of you. I have never tried sage tea but I usually don't have hot flashes. Tonight I am but I think it might be the wine I am drinking. Usualy the black cohosh works for me. thanks for the tip

Solution for Sage Tea

Hi,
Does sage come in a tea, or do you make your own? How much and how often do you use it? I can't wait to try it. My hot flashes are horrible!

Solution for Sage Tea

I'm with you Christina! I don't know if they're increasing due to the warmer weather or just increasing in general.

Also, Bunnylady, where do you find the sage tea? Would it be available at some of the health food stores or something like that. I'm sure gonna check with my oncologist and see if this is something I can try out.

I gave the Effexor a try and unfortunately for me, made the hot flashes much, much worse! I was so hoping I would have good luck like some of the other ladies and it would help.

So, I'm looking for more new ideas too! Any and all ideas are worth a try (at least if I can get DD to agree)

Sweaty {{hugs}} to my desert sisters!

Vicki
