One big hand holding mine

All day today I have been surfing in and out of this site and I can't get over my amazement of how relieved I am that it exists. I feel like you guys/ this site is holding my hand and guiding me through everything I needed to know.
I was so lost with all of the medical sites I found and they never got down to the nitty gritty about it all. Like the sex, hey I am a young chick, I've got many of years ahead of me. My boyfriend and I were so scared from what we saw on other sides with the trouble ppl were having. BUT with reading past posts I see we are going to have a normal sex life and could possiably be better. Heck, I am sure it will be a lot better once they get this darn huge tumor out! hhmm that explains a lot.

What a lovely way to put it..." one big hand holding yours".
And that is so true of this site.
There is alot of really scary crap on the net, and we are thrilled that you came upon HysterSisters and yep we are all holding your hand through this.

I also had a 2 week wait between diagnosis and surgery, and I know what you mean. They tell me my tumor was "small melon" size.
Now......of course that made me he talking....cantaloupe.....or water melon....cuz in my mind a small water melon is like the size of a basketball.
Although I never asked the exact size.....I perfer to think it was cantaloupe size.

We are a pretty open group here, so any questions you have just ask away!! I have yet to see a question asked that someone did not have some experience with. Knowlege is power and there are some very "powerful" women in this site!
Take care and keep that positive attitude works wonders!!

So glad that you found the site and that you and your "honey" are breathing easier about the whole thing. I too found this site so rewarding when I needed it the most.

isn't it great!

Hi deconstructed,
Isn't this site great I felt the same way you do. I am also 30 and HAD cervical cancer. I went through chemo, external radiation, and internal radiation and I am happy to say that I am now CANCER-FREE!! I also felt the same scared about what my sex life would be after the hyster (the say we don't hit our peak until we are I got five years to work on it!!! hehe) I can't say I can help yet.....I have another week to go until I can try ( i think this will be the longest week of my life!!! hehe) but I heard that it is not much different except, NO PERIODS (So it's ON any day of the month), no birth control worries, and for me no pain and bleeding with sex. If I can help you with anything else please feel free to email me

P.S. I looked at your profile...... we are actually only one month i really know how you feel about the young chick part......i had my hyster 4 days after my 30th birthday ...happy birthday to me huh?
