Help, painful bump under ab incision

I feel so sad/mad/frustrated/angry/alone..........
I went back to the doctor today because of a painful lump that has appeared under my abdominal insicsion. She called a radiologist to see what kind of test to perform to "assess it" and they said a CT with contrast. Have to wait for insurance to approve then schedule. She said it could be a hernia and it would need to be surgically repaired. Feeling "less than supported" by DH and scared about the future. Any wisdom

Thank you for the support, my kids and husband pretty much checked out at my 6 week release and I must have done too much. I wish I could turn back time... I don't want another surgery, having to ask for help again. And I'm sure that my emotions are out of sorts - I had everything taken out and no HRT so having mood swings, hot flashes. Just so FRUSTRATED

have you seen the post about apple cider vinegar from cvs? it has to be the brand they sell there, not heinz. it's also unpasteurized. the sisters say it reduces hot flashes and some have said they have more energy. if i ever remember to go to cvs, i'll pick some up.

good luck. i hope everything works out for you.

Help, painful bump under ab incision

I have incisional hernia found 4 years after and two years ago after an unpleasant colonoscopy which he believes was a result of that procedure. There is no immediate surgery and I still have it. I see my primary tomorrow as I believe I have another hernia and not both are painful. A CT with contrast is nothing even an MRI. I have had several since my TAH and I also had them for my TAH due to a baseball cancereous ovarian tumor. How all is going well. If you need surgery ask your doctor to refer you to a surgeon who performs laporscopic mesh surgery for hernias. Recovery is about 2 weeks with small incisions as my husband had the same surgeon and had double hernia surgery 2 years ago and was back on a construction site in 2 weeks.
