Aunt Flo's Last Visit!!!!

I hear you Friendangel....Those fem hygeine aisles are a thing of the past!!!! (of course DD still needs them, but never again for me!!! ) I saw someone on here said that they were going to start puttting all the money they used to spend on that stuff in a jar and when they get a good amount they were going to do something fun with it!!! I'm thinking what an idea!!! Hmmmm....what will I do with my "No Mo Aunt Flo Fund"? Something worthy of my status of course....any ideas ladies?

Officially taking suggestions for how to spend my "No Mo Aunt Flo Fund".......

Aunt Flo's Last Visit!!!!

This entire thread has made me laugh so hard I think I just busted some sutures..... Thanks ladies, on this sleepness night, I needed that!!!

I told anyone who had an opinion about what I should do with my ovaries to submit it, in writing, in triplicate so that we ALL could consider possible alternatives and decide what was best for me. They stared at me, as I smiled, and said.....uh, yeah, I'll do that. If they persisted I told them I'd give them my ovaries if they really wanted them that badly.

I did have one visitor who INSISTED on doing my laundry....even though I really didn't have anything to do.....so I had her do two loads of really gross pet bed linings.....LOL...now mind you I don't really know this woman from Adam.....she hasn't returned. I did send her a thank you card, though.

I am so fortunate to have really fabulous people in my world who listen, and care for me gently. I am VERY blessed.

On the flip side, however, it is amazing how much my surgery has been a turning point in the lives of folks I don't really know that well......

Hugs to all-

Jean

Aunt Flo's Last Visit!!!!

Good Morning Ladies....Hope everybody is doing good this bright and beautiful day (i'm faking ok, cabin fever is getting the best of me...lol). I just had to take a minute and tell you what my hubby and I saw one night on tv, regarding ovaries. That is what made my decision easier for me. I had no idea a woman could get ovarian cancer without ovaries. We were watching a documentary, and it said that a woman can get ovarian cancer without ovaries. Its extremely hard to detect, because woman don't think they can ever get it if they have ovaries out. They did say that a simple blood test, can check to see if you have it. But most drs. don't do it, unless a woman asks. because even drs. aren't aware that there is still a danger. Its a blood test, like a PSA test given to men. So woman, if you have your ovaries out, i guess you should insist on having that blood work every couple of years. Just thought I would share the info. i seen.

Janice, thank you so much for responding to the signature thing. I was so confused (doesn't take much lately...lol). I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't show it. And as far as the hospital thing, you hit it right on the head. I have to laugh though. My mom thinks I should recoup so much faster than she did. Because, they must do surgeries much better now, because she had to stay in the hospital for 7 days, and I came home the next day!!!!! I keep telling her, its the same we are just stronger woman now (LOL). Told her she was a whimp...lol.
Well, I'm gonna go rest my ache body for a while, think i'm coming down with a cold (hubby developed a terrible one). Told him to keep his nasty germs to himself, but starting the feeling of a scratchy throat now. Time for tea w/honey, and a quick nap. Have a great day ladies!

Jean, your response of asking for an opinion, in triplicate, absolutely made my morning! I was laughing so loud that my cat got scared and ran off.
