The Funniest realization you have had!

I was in the shower this morning getting ready for a fun birthday weekend and thought I want to go clothes shopping... The very next thought, my brain doing serious mental calculating is this a 'good time of the month' to go, I couldn't figure it out!

And then slowly, it dawned on me.... No worries about bloating anymore, I CAN GO SHOPPING ANYTIME!!!! Woo hoo!

I Can't believe at 5 months out, I still had a shocker like this?!!! Anyone else care to share funny moments you have had like that?

I am sure it doesn't help that I am the queen of !!!

The Funniest realization you have had!

I CAN RELATE !!! My husband suggested that we do something the weekend of Feb. 23, but I told him that I was going to start my period on the 21st .......he said "no you're not, you don't have to worry about that anymore". I am so used to having to plan my life around Aunt Flo's visit that even after my surgery, I still do......UGH !!! I just might have to have a pad burning party, maybe that celebration will stick in my mind that I won't have a period and no pain anymore and I can start having a life again !!!!

The Funniest realization you have had!

Pad Burning Party!!!!! LOL!!! BYOP! sign me up!

I constantly have "wow" moments when I do things and my back doesn't hurt. My funniest realization was thinking that all this "movement" down below felt funny. That's not supposed to happen, you see I was potty trained years ago! Interesting trying to figure out what my body is telling me to do post-op!

Have a great day sisters!

The Funniest realization you have had!

I was planning our 2006 Christmas vacation and got really bummed when I realized I'd have to lug along all those pads. Then it hit me - I didn't have to worry about Aunt Flo this trip - or ever again! It was the first vacation I had planned in about five years that didn't include battling Aunt Flo, pads, finding bathrooms everywhere I went. What a joy!

I love these stories!!! It reminds me of the joy that my health is so much better and my life just a little bit easier now!

The Funniest realization you have had!

I look so forward to this. I went on a Tropical vacation last year and bled for the whole time. I had to ration my tampons! I look forward to the summer not checking for the string hanging out of the bathing suit, LOL.

The Funniest realization you have had!

I was cleaning out my linen closet and packing up all of the products I would no linger need when I came across a pregnancy test and thought, oh I should save this these are expensive Then it dawned on me that if I didn't need the pads, I wouldn't need a pregnancy test either I can do what I want and not worry!

The Funniest realization you have had!

Now when I watch any commercials for "feminine products", it hits me...I don't need those anymore..yay me!! My husband and I have concert tickets for April and we have a hotel room reserved and I don't have to worry about having my period ruin that weekend!! It's kind of a freeing feeling.

The Funniest realization you have had!

I was thinking about a FL trip that I will be taking at the end of July and was thinking that it would be time for my period. Then it dawned on me that I won't ever have to worry about that again! I have had my period during our vacations for the past 3 years. It will be nice to not have to worry about that ever again! And I don't have to come up with excuses as to why we can't go to Grandma's to go swimming!

The Funniest realization you have had!

I too came to this realization just the other day.... there are no more interruptions in my life w/parties, anniversaries, b-days, vacays, etc. to have to worry about AF with ever again. No more condoms, bc, spermicide, etc. to prevent pg. I don't have to keep running to the bathroom to check to see if I've started b/c even on bc pills my periods were so unpredictable. It truly is a freeing feeling.

I LOL over the "pad burning party"!! However, I found a better way to use them.... I put them on the bottom of my clorox mopping thing and use them to mop the floor instead of buying those expensive pads. AND for the tampons, they are GREAT for nosebleeds.

The Funniest realization you have had!

I'm not far off 2 years post-op now and still can't believe I'm free! Free to go out when I please ... free to book a vacation without worrying about dates ... free to wear tight/white clothes ... free of debt, following the purchase of a million+ pads ...

I don't think I'll ever get used to it!
