The waiting is the worst thing of all. When I was pregant everytime it was as if the time could not go by fast enough. I was always ready for the very next step and was 4 steps ahead of those. I have been packed for about 3 weeks now even before I knew the actual date. I know it seems weird but this is the way that I am. I can not believe that all my pre-op stuff is not until the 5th just less than 48 hours before my Visit to the Castle. My DH clls all the time from work to see how I am coping with all of this. He works the Night shift and I work the day shift at my kids school. So we do not always get to see each other alot during the week. He will be taking at least a couple of weeks off when I go in. Well I am off to work in a few so i hope to keep busy as to not just sit and think about this whole thing. Thanks for all the chat, support and advice from all it is very well accepted and appreciated.

TAH March 7th anyone else on this day

I too share the date of March 7th with you. As matter of fact, I just made my pre op appointment. I'm so nervous that something will go wrong with those tests that I have to get done and they'll move back my surgery date. I'm excited to get this FINALLY done, but scared outta my mind at the same time. LOL
I am having an abd. cut and she's taking my uterus and cervix. Dont know the abbreviations for it yet. LOL
I have adenmyosis, severe anemia and fibroids on my cervix. I'm one of those heavy heavy bleeders and am sooooooooooo looking forward to being able to be human like again. LOL And free of pain too!
I'd love to be ya'll's surgery buddy too!!

Well, ya'll. I have my preop tomorrow. I have a stuffy nose that I hope will be gone or nearly by morning. I will write back with the final funeral arrangements for Aunt Flo.

TAH March 7th anyone else on this day

I had my pre op appointment today. A urine test, blood test, chest xray and an EKG. Alot of questions too. The admitting nurse told me I do NOT have to do a bowel prep (woohoo) but I will be doing the liquid diet the night before just to be on the safe side. I dont want to have to deal with painful gas or constipation.
My surgery is scheduled for 10am CST on Wednesday March 7th. I have to be there at 8am for my lovely PRINCESS gown and she even mentioned a 'cocktail' to calm my nerves. WOOHOO on that!!! ;o)
