Yes my clothes are not fitting the same. According to the scale I have lost 8-10 lbs, but certain jeans are not comfy in the lower abdominal area. And nighttime the bulging is more prominent.

Remember ladies we are still healing. I have to tell myself that every day. I am worried that I over did it today. Last night I went for a 1 mile walk with DH (not fast, but more than a stroll, I guess). And was cramping big time last night. I actually had to take a darvocet which I have not taken since day 4. I will be 4 weeks Wednesday. Today we went for another walk, same distance, I want to work up to exercising again and walking seems to be the best way. But then the dog got into something and smelled like a rat, so I struggled with him in the shower (75 lb Golden Retriever) and the vaccuuming that naturally follows a dogs mess. So dear Sister's pray that I will not suffer horrible consequences for my actions because I have to help serve a spaghetti dinner tonight at my sons school.

Hugs to you all

Just returned from 4 week post-op

Yeah!!! Had a good report from my gyn. He has released me as of today to return to my normal life (except sex...poor dh) that can happen in two more weeks. Of course, my doctor laughed at me when I asked if I could clean my house. He asked if I was okay mentally (haha). I love to clean my house. He said if it were him he would tell them he couldn't do anything for 2 more weeks. Love having a doc with a sense of humor! My internal stitches are healing well. A little discharge from them with some odor (yuck) but the doc said it was okay; they were dissolving. He even told me I could go back to pilates to help the cramping/pains in the legs/lower back. As I mentioned earlier post, I had to have a doppler sonogram done on my legs 2 weeks ago to rule out dvt.

So girls, hang in there and take it easy. Our bodies are still healing! It is a process....everyone is different. Don't beat yourself up. I feel like I am preaching to choir. I did this a few times but now realize that it does get better...some days better than others.

Blessings,
Mollie

Ellen54, thank you for the encouragement! Today is a much better day. I even made a decision to take the full six weeks before going back to work just to give myself plenty of time to get adjusted to the ups and downs. Many prayers and well wishes!

Oh, yeah! Is anyone experiencing a lack of appetite? I have actually forgotten to eat a few times. Also, I don't crave anything or care what it is when I do remember.

I was feeling better at the beginning of the week so I wonder if I did too much. have been driving since the beginnning of my 3rd week and also went back to work. I work in an office so am sitting up most of the time. I am just wondering if I just did too much or could there be something else happening. Any feedback would be appreciated...
i know i sound like my friends when they say i do too much. but if it hurts that is most likely what is happening with me, so i share with you to listen to your body and take it easy. my doctor made me wait two months before i could pick up a golf club. he told me i was a trouble maker, so maybe you are, too. i had lots of other things going on before surgery such as endo and ado something that caused severe pain and bleeding so bed rest was a must. can still only walk nine holes but i am getting there and it is so nice not to see the blood in my pants any more. now aboutthree months postop.

hi still feeel bloated but am not heavier as much as my belly is swelling. the more i do the worse it gets. golf is my love and i feel it the next day and have a hard time getting out of bed because i am sore but only take 2 iburprofen. pain pills are a narcotic i'd rather not use or sleep aids they make me nervous, but staying quiet is the best way to feel better also don't forget the heating pad.

I am just starting my 4 week and am just now starting to eat. I still do not have cravings but I can at least now eat without feeling sick. I do make myself eat something still, the hunger is just not back fully yet
