Teacher30

I never actually saw any stitches come out. The discharge is light tan/light brown in color. I think you should call the "on-call" Dr and ask about the clots. I never had that. Did you over do it in some kind of way? I hope you are feeling better-

zucru - thanks for the beautiful reminder. I feel so distant from my faith right now, even though I know how wonderfully God ahs provided for me through all of this.

adledger - thanks for responding. On Monday I was on my feet and walking for most of the day, but felt ok when I got home. Then at night I tried to do a few of the pelvic exercises they list in the article section on the site, just to start easing back into exercising. I felt fine again and didn't feel like I overdid anything. The next morning was another story however! I guess I'll call the doc. tomorrow. They are going to kill me at school if I have to take off any more days! I know they are just going to tell me to come in, their office won't ever answer questions over the phone, so hopefully they can see me after school. I just want to be normal again!!

In the last couple days, there have been moments where I have thought...."OOO I forgot I had surgery!" I think that must be a good sign. My only "pain" if you call it that is a random ache here and there but the main pain is my breasts. They actually feel like when I breast fed! It can't be normal. I had blood drawn yesterday to see where I am with my hormones and thyroid. I am hypo and have been for almost 30 years. That might need tweeking. I did keep my ovaries and it sounds like they may be very confused!!!

The fatigue is still ongoing but each day I feel my stamina coming back. I ran into a girl at the hospital who had her surgery from the same doc I did. She was #3 (I was #1 that day) and she said she was right there with me with the fatigue. So sounds pretty normal...hope everyone is well.

Hi Sisters,

Teacher30 - I am so sorry to hear about the bleeding. Please call the 'on-call' doctor tomorrow. It is worth going in to make sure no injury to the incisions inside have happened. You've come to far to let that bring you down. I'll continue praying for you. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it!

Ibeshoppin - we had our lavh on the same day! I, too, have had the sore breasts. It is normal if you have kept both ovaries from what I hear. I have both of my ovaries, as well. It is worse about a week 'before' they think it is my period week. hahaha. Then, they go to normal. I guess we will get used to these strange things going on. Hard to believe we are already in our 7th week of 'recovery'. I still get tired easy. The stamina part is coming back each day. From what I hear, it can take up to 6 months to a year to get 'full' energy back! I am praying for way before that to happen.

lavh 2/27/07 kept both ovaries

Nomorewaiting:

Thank you that is encouraging on the breast thing. I was studying them and pondering their current weight heheh....Seriously, it is great to hear that someone else has this odd side effect. The weird thing is prior to the LAVH my body was not this efficient. WEIRDNESS

Hi dear sisters,
It was so wonderful to hear from all of you tonight when I got home. Another very long day. Good news-tomorrow is Thursday! I don't plan on doing anything much this weekend just resting. I am making it through the day but my legs ache, back aches, some crampy front discomfort and lots of fatigue. I am so surprised-I really thought that at 6 weeks and getting the clearance to go back to activities would mean my body was pretty back to normal. I guess it's going to be several more weeks until this fatigue, aches goes away. Thank heavens for Motrin.

Teacher30- I had a TVH, I had yellow brown discharge for many weeks which my MD said was the stitches healing/dissolving. No bleeding/spotting since about week 3. I too would recommend getting checked by the MD -especially because of the small clots. Probably nothing major but sometimes a small vessel might be seeping and they can treat it in the office. I will keep you in my thoughts. Keep us updated!

Angelika-you are such a support to all of us. Your gentle encouragement and kindness is so wonderful. So glad you had a satisfying day today. It does feel good to be doing some of the daily life things that we're used to.

viteacher-so sorry you had a rough first day back. Lots of hugs to you. We're all so vulnerable now to what people say and do . My DH can't even say hello to me when I get home from work without me biting his head off. Just think that all the hugs and good wishes from your hystersisters are surrounding you as you go through your day and any negative stuff just bounces off the good energy surrounding you! We just have to keep moving forward one hour, one day, one week at a time as we move toward our full recovery and a wonderful summer. We will feel well and healthy again!!

Zellabella-be gentle with yourself about the sleep thing. The important thing is that you get some solid rest. The fact that you are not liking taking meds is a good indicator that you won't get dependent on them. If you need them short term give yourself permission. I dealt with insomnia in my early 40's when I started the perimenopausal thing, it was horrible and I started to dread bedtime which just fed into the whole bad sleep pattern thing. Some suggestions that helped me:Create a cozy, nurturing bed area-special pillow, watch what you eat from about 6pm on-no chocolate, caffeine. Be aware of what you watch on TV in the evening, nothing that is stressful (detective shows etc that get adrenaline going), take warm shower or bath, keep regular sleep and wake up times. When you go to bed , try to feel just sinking in to the mattress, think of someplace that relaxes you -lying on the beach, sitting outside on a spring day , breeze in the air. Also there may be some times where you lay there and don't go to sleep, be gentle and try not to get stressed about it, you can get rest and by not getting stressed you actually do end up getting a few hours sleep. It takes a few days or so for your body to get back to a sleep pattern. It will happen.
Another thing that has helped is one of those sleep sound machines. It distracts your mind as you listen to it and before you know it you are asleep. We even travel with one now.

Nomorewaiting and hothyssiefit-Congrads on the successful and comfortable "play times" It's reassuring to hear that everything works well and feels good! I was looking forward to that this weekend but have been so pooped and sore from being back at work that it's moved down my list of priorities but hopefully Saturday I will be recuperated from work and "in the mood"!

hothyssiefit-will keep your family in my prayers

me1113-I will keep you in my thoughts tomorrow as you go back to work. Just remember-one hour at a time-and before you know it it will be time to go home and rest!

seeking serenity-so glad you joined our group- we all get those discouraging days, hang in there!

Runplenty-Sending you blessings and hugs for your birthday. If you don't feel like celebrating it now, pick a day when you feel like it and make that your "make up birthday celebration day"! A special lunch with a friend, a shopping trip, a movie, or buy yourself some beautiful spring flowers.

Take care sisters!

Sob!!! The wedding dress doesn't fit...in the boobs not the tummy. How weird is that? I am not too stressed. My mother turned right around and got the next size up. We'll just take everything else up if need be.

Thank you for the prayers and encouragement. I love you gals!
